  • Patent number: 6348414
Abstract: There is provided a method for forming fine metal patterns of semiconductor devices using damascene technique. In the method, a glue layer and a diffusion barrier film are formed on a lower layer, in turn. An insulating film is then deposited on the barrier film and etched to form contact holes or via holes. A metal film is then deposited within the hole to form a fine metal pattern. Therefore, the method can increase the width of the metal film of the fine pattern, thereby enhancing the operation speed of the device. The method can also easily control the processes by separating the etching process of the metal film from those of the glue layer and the barrier film.

  • Patent number: 5964895
Abstract: A VRAM-based parity engine for use in a disk array controller is disclosed, in which the parity arithmetic operation is carried out in a fast and effective manner, thereby improving the performance of the RAID system. Particularly, the parity data arithmetic operation is not resorted to a processor, but to a VRAM, thereby realizing a high speed operation. In the disk array controller, a VRAM (video RAM) is used, in such a manner that the reading, updating and writing are made to be overlapped during the arithmetic operation, thereby promoting the speed of the arithmetic. Therefore, a relatively large capacity memory can be formed compared with the conventional SRAM, and therefore, a temporary buffer memory within the parity engine is used as a parity cache, thereby doubling the performance.

  • Patent number: 5905332
Abstract: An electron gun for a color cathode ray tube includes a cathode structure having three electron emitting portions in a field emission array cell. A focus electrode and a final acceleration electrode are sequentially arranged with respect to the cathode structure and form a main lens for focusing electron beams emitted from the three electron emitting portions. The eccentric distance of the electron emitting portions is shorter than the eccentric distance of the electron beam emitting holes in the focus electrode opposite the electron emitting portions. Focus characteristics and convergence characteristics are improved.

  • Patent number: 5739629
Abstract: A double cross-over type electron gun for a color CRT is provided. The electron gun includes a triode having a cathode, a control electrode and a screen electrode, for generating and controlling an electron beam, a plurality of focus electrodes sequentially disposed adjacent to the triode, for forming at least one auxiliary lens, and a final accelerating electrode disposed adjacent to the focus electrode, for forming a main lens. The electron beam generated by the triode includes a cross-over point in front of the main lens and proximate to the auxiliary lens. At least one of the auxiliary lenses disposed upstream from the main lens is formed as a quadrupole lens so that the position of the cross-over point in the horizontal direction and that in the vertical direction are different from each other. When a dynamic focusing voltage is applied, the image quality at the periphery of a screen can be greatly improved.

  • Patent number: 5600201
Abstract: An electron gun for a color cathode ray tube having a cathode, a control electrode and a screen electrode together constituting of a triode, and a main lens for focusing and accelerating an electron beam formed by the triode. The electron gun is characterized by a horizontally elongated electron beam passing hole formed in the control electrode having its long axis disposed in the arrangement direction of the electron beam passing hole. A horizontally elongated slot encompassing the electron beam passing hole having its long axis disposed in the arrangement direction of the electron beam passing hole is formed in the screen electrode opposed to the control electrode, thereby preventing the focusing characteristics of the electron beam from being reduced throughout the surface of the fluorescent layer by the influence of the deflection yoke.
