    Abstract: An electroluminescent display comprising a mask defining the information to be displayed and an electroluminescent (EL) backlight. The mask compress a layer (13) of physically-stabilized liquid crystal switchable to define the information to be displayed mounted in front of an EL layer (16) of the backlight. At least one pair of electrodes (12, 20) are arranged to generate, in use, an electric field across both the EL layer (16) and the LC layer (13). A barrier layer (15) is provided between the LC layer (13) and the EL layer (16) that restricts migration of liquid crystal from the LC layer (13) to the EL layer (16).

Second input ends of the Hall current sensing units are connected in parallel, and are connected with a second AC input end of the power supply unit. An output end of the Hall current sensing unit is connected with an input end of the microprocessor. The microprocessor selects operating parameters according to an energized signal of the second power input lines and controls the variable speed motor to operate in accordance with the selected operating parameters.

The thermo-sensitive resistor detects a temperature signal of the thermal resistor and adjusts the voltage of the output end of the voltage detection circuit.

    Abstract: A protection circuit includes a coding chip, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and a control circuit. The coding chip receives parallel voltage identification definition (PVID) signals or serial voltage identification definition (SVID) signals from a central processing unit (CPU), and converts the PVID signals or the SVID signals to voltage identification definition (VID) signals. The DAC receives the VID signals from the coding chip, and converts the VID signals to an analog voltage. The control circuit receives the analog voltage from the DAC and a voltage received by the CPU, and compares the analog voltage from the DAC with the voltage received by the CPU. When the voltage received by the CPU is greater than the analog voltage from the DAC, the control circuit disconnects the CPU from a first power supply.
