    Abstract: A method and apparatus for delivering a mobile terminated call to user equipment (UE) in a circuit switched fallback (CSFB) capable wireless network system using prepaging. When the VMSC registered in the HLR of the called UE receives a provide roaming number message from the HLR indicating that a CS call to the UE has been originated at a GMSC, the VMSC starts a paging process with a mobility management entity (MME) then returns a mobile station roaming number (MSRN) to the HLR when the called UE is in EMM-connected mode. Alternatively, the VMSC sets a guard timer and returns the MSRN to the HLR when the guard timer expires. In the meantime, the VMSC remain in a paging stage waiting for the response from the UE falling back to the UMTS/GSM network from the LTE network.

    Abstract: Described is a technology by which synthesized speech generated from text is evaluated against a prosody model (trained offline) to determine whether the speech will sound unnatural. If so, the speech is regenerated with modified data. The evaluation and regeneration may be iterative until deemed natural sounding. For example, text is built into a lattice that is then (e.g., Viterbi) searched to find a best path. The sections (e.g., units) of data on the path are evaluated via a prosody model. If the evaluation deems a section to correspond to unnatural prosody, that section is replaced, e.g., by modifying/pruning the lattice and re-performing the search. Replacement may be iterative until all sections pass the evaluation. Unnatural prosody detection may be biased such that during evaluation, unnatural prosody is falsely detected at a higher rate relative to a rate at which unnatural prosody is missed.

    Abstract: A layout method for the creation of a differential pair for the transmission of signals generates a differential pair between a differential signal sender and a differential signal receiver in a layout of a PCB. Differential signals are transmitted via two wires. A plurality of vertical lines are created on the differential pair. Junctions of the vertical lines and the two wires are defined as pairs of points. A first length between one terminal of the differential signal sender and one point of each pair of points and a second length between the other terminal of the differential signal sender and the other point of each pair of points are calculated. If any difference between the first length and the second length does not fall within an allowable range, the lengths of the two wires are adjusted.
