    Abstract: An adsorbent is in a liquid-phase hydrogenation catalyst composition. A catalyst bed containing the liquid-phase hydrogenation catalyst composition may be applicable in adsorption technology or oil liquid-phase hydrogenation technology. The adsorbent contains a porous material and a hydrogenation active metal supported on the porous material. The adsorbent has an average pore diameter of 2-15 nm, a specific surface area of 200-500 m2/g, and the hydrogenation active metal is present in an amount, calculated as metal oxide, of 2.5 wt % or less, based on the total weight of the adsorbent. The adsorbent has a high hydrogen sulfide adsorption efficiency for a long period of time, and can effectively prolong the protection period for the hydrodesulfurization catalyst.

    Abstract: A solid particle bed has a sea zone and at least one island zone distributed in the sea zone, and has an upper surface, a lower surface, an axial direction and a radial direction. The island zone extends along the axial direction of the solid particle bed but does not extend to the lower surface, and the voidage of the island zone is 110-300% of the voidage of the sea zone. In the solid particle bed, the oil preferentially enters the packing area with a small voidage through the tail section of the packing area with a large voidage. As the deposition amount increases, the oil gradually changes its way by entering the packing area with a small voidage through the side of the packing area with a large voidage.

The bi-directional converter converts the bus voltage received at the first terminal to a first voltage at a second terminal or converts the first voltage to the release voltage at the first terminal. The method is adjusting the release voltage by changing the ratio of the first resistor to the second resistor.

The core material is operable to confine first magnetic flux generated from first current flowing through the first electrically conductive path. The inductor device further includes a gap in the core material. The gap (gas or solid material) has a different magnetic permeability than the core material. Inclusion of the gap in the core material provides a way to tune an inductance of the inductor device and increase a magnetic saturation level of the inductor device. The core material includes any number of electrically conductive paths and corresponding gaps.
