    Abstract: Various methods and systems are disclosed to improve detection probability of time of flight lidar systems by generating real-time background signals for individual pixels of a sensor of the lidar detection system and use the background signals to dynamically control the detection system of the lidar. The background signals, that indicate the amount of background light received by different pixels, are used for controlling the detection system by adjusting at least one of the optical system, the sensor, and the readout system of the detection system in order to reduce the impact of the back ground light on the detection and range finding functionality of the lidar.

    Abstract: Various methods and systems are disclosed to improve the reliability and accuracy of a time of flight lidar systems by generating real-time background signals for individual pixels of a sensor of the lidar detection system and use the background signals to generate confidence signals. The confidence signal indicates validity of a return signal or a probability that the return signal is not associated with interference with another lidar or light source. The confidence signals may be used by the lidar system to reduce the false alarm rate of the lidar.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for identifying fragile lines in power grid based on electrical betweenness, which comprises the following steps: constructing the power grid into a network diagram, sequentially removing lines in the network diagram, and sorting the electrical betweenness of each line from large to small; constructing a nonlinear model of complex network cascade failure considering overload and weighted edges, and respectively performing two ways of removing lines for sorted electrical betweenness, namely sequentially removing preset proportion lines and sequentially removing all lines until no new lines are removed in the network diagram; obtaining a change of generator-load power before and after each line removal, and evaluating a severity of power grid failure based on the change of generator-load power, thus completing an identification of power grid fragile lines.

In an embodiment, when the sense voltage is decreased to reach or to be lower than the reference voltage, the bi-directional converter may be adapted to be configured to operate in a release mode to provide a release voltage at the first terminal.     Abstract: A low dropout regulator circuit with reduced overshoot and undershoot during transient state is discussed. The low dropout regulator circuit has a power device operating at a restive region, a first amplification stage and a second amplification stage. The first amplification stage amplifies a difference between a feedback voltage and a reference voltage to generate a positive signal and a negative signal. The feedback voltage is derived from an output voltage via a feedback resistor network. The second amplification stage amplifies a difference between the positive signal and a sum of a feed forward signal and the negative signal to generate an amplified signal. The feed forward signal is derived from an output voltage via a capacitor network.

The adsorbent has an average pore diameter of 2-15 nm, a specific surface area of 200-500 m2/g, and the hydrogenation active metal is present in an amount, calculated as metal oxide, of 2.5 wt % or less, based on the total weight of the adsorbent. The adsorbent has a high hydrogen sulfide adsorption efficiency for a long period of time, and can effectively prolong the protection period for the hydrodesulfurization catalyst.

The island zone extends along the axial direction of the solid particle bed but does not extend to the lower surface, and the voidage of the island zone is 110-300% of the voidage of the sea zone. In the solid particle bed, the oil preferentially enters the packing area with a small voidage through the tail section of the packing area with a large voidage. As the deposition amount increases, the oil gradually changes its way by entering the packing area with a small voidage through the side of the packing area with a large voidage.

The bi-directional converter converts the bus voltage received at the first terminal to a first voltage at a second terminal or converts the first voltage to the release voltage at the first terminal. The method is adjusting the release voltage by changing the ratio of the first resistor to the second resistor.
