The present invention enables the UE to aggregate carriers of different frequency ranges from the first base station to which the UE belongs and the second base station to which the UE belongs to transmit data, thus improving the throughput of the data transmitted by the UE.

    Abstract: This application provides a reference signal transmission method and an apparatus, to resolve a prior-art problem of relatively high overheads of resources occupied by transmitted reference signals in a communications system. The method includes: configuring, by a transmitting device, one reference signal group corresponding to one port in the first time symbol, and configuring one reference signal corresponding to the port in each of time symbols except the first time symbol. This reduces overheads of resources occupied by transmitted reference signals in the communications system and improves service data transmission efficiency while ensuring that a receiving device can obtain a channel parameter of the port.

Hence, an effective proportion of the eBRP-TRN sub-field in the training field can be increased such that more Antenna Weight Vector (AWV) configurations can be attempted within a same period of time.

The CSI feedback method includes: receiving, by user equipment (UE), a reference signal broadcast by a base station; performing channel estimation on a radio channel between the base station and the UE by using the reference signal, to obtain CSI and a channel quality parameter; adjusting the channel quality parameter according to a channel quality weight parameter, to obtain a channel statistic quality parameter; and when the channel statistic quality parameter exceeds a channel quality threshold, feeding back the CSI to the base station. In the present invention, because a channel quality parameter is dynamically adjusted by using a channel quality weight parameter, and it is selected, according to a result of comparing an adjusted channel statistic quality parameter with a channel quality threshold, whether to report CSI. UEs in a system can be evenly scheduled.
