  • Patent number: 5177985
Abstract: Fiber waste generated adjacent the knitting section of the knitting machine and adjacent yarn feeding devices of the machine is blown to a filter adjacent the top of the machine. The lint is removed from the filter by a rotatable filter cleaner and then is transported by suction to a vacuum device outside of the machine. A blower for blowing fiber waste from the yarn feeding devices is mounted upon a support ring and undergoes reciprocal movement about a path of travel defined by such ring. In one embodiment the ring undergoes rotational movement and the blowing means moves with it, while in another embodiment the ring is stationary and the blowing means moves relative to it.

  • Patent number: 4717361
Abstract: A contact for a connector, which includes two opposed contact elements for receiving therebetween a male contact of a mating connector. Each the contact element is provided with one or more protrusions on an opposed surface for embracing the male contact. Protrusions of the two opposed contact elements extend to that portions of the opposed contact elements which are devoid of the protrusions so as to overlap each other before the male contact is inserted between the contact elements. With this arrangement, even if the male contact is very thin, pressing force required to securely pressing the male contact by the contact elements is certainly obtained. The contact and the male contact are securely contacted without any torsional force and other forces which would otherwise be caused on these contacts.

  • Patent number: 4713697
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel camera apparatus which can be discretely split into two parts; a lens barrel unit and a lens-barrel-support unit which allows the lens barrel unit to freely turn its direction. A built-in angular rate detector detects a swinging movement of the lens barrel unit, whereas a position detector detects a position relationship between the lens barrel unit and the support unit. An operator unit storing programs controls a drive operation of an actuator that generates a specific amount of torque between the lens barrel unit and the support unit to reduce an output from a system controller unit so that swinging symptom of video picture caused by the swinging movement of the video camera can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 4484235
Abstract: A phase control circuit for improving the stability after a predictable rotational speed change of a rotating apparatus and a magnetic reproducing apparatus for performing slow motion reproduction by means of intermittent tape transport and yet being free from transverse swings of the reproduced picture comprises a phase shift circuit which shifts the phase of the reference signal, which is produced by dividing a source signal, at a desired rate, to maintain the phase locked at the very moment during which the rotational speed change is changing. The relative speed of the magnetic head rotation is kept constant during the intermittent tape movement under the condition of the phase being locked.

  • Patent number: 4404481
Abstract: A C-V(capacitance-to-voltage) conversion apparatus usable e.g. for detecting physical parameters such as pressure, distance and angle. The apparatus comprises a capacitive sensor, a C-PW(capacitance-to-pulse width) conversion circuit, and a PW-V(pulse width-to-voltage) conversion circuit. The capacitive sensor converts a physical parameter to a capacitance, but has a non-linear conversion characteristic. The C-PW conversion circuit converts the capacitance to a pulse signal whose mean value is proportional to the capacitance, by controlling a charging-discharging cycle of the capacitive sensor and a reference capacitor. The PW-V conversion circuit converts the pulse signal to a d.c. voltage and at the same time compensates for the non-linearity of the capacitive sensor's conversion characteristic so that the d.c. voltage is proportional to the physical parameter.
