  • Publication number: 20040263653
Abstract: An image detection processing device which executes the processing at a high speed using a circuit constitution of a small scale best suited for calculating the centroid of an object, the circuit being arranged on the same chip as the image detection processing device. The image detection processing device or a so-called vision chip includes a plurality of image detection processing elements, and comprises a shift register for converting serial data representing the total sum or a portion of the pixel data into a first parallel data, an adder which receives the converted parallel data and outputs a second parallel data representing a first-order moment, and a serial divider which receives the first and second parallel data and divides them to produce serial data representing the centroid coordinates, featuring a circuit constitution of a small scale and realizing a high-speed processing.

  • Patent number: 6515522
Abstract: A drive circuit capable of adjusting a capacitive load operation, for example, respective brightness of an electroluminescence (EL) element. The drive circuit is a constant current drive system and causes a plurality of capacitive loads, for example, EL elements, to emit light. This is done by setting a coil drive signal applied to the gate of a transistor Tr1. The transistor generates a surge pulse by intermittently connecting a direct current power source to a coil L1 of a step-up circuit 1. The coil drive signal is set to a frequency in accordance with an EL element as a capacitive load driven alone or a combination of EL elements simultaneously driven. Power generated by the step-up circuit 1 can be selected, brightness of a driven EL element E1 or E2 can individually be set or brightness of the EL elements E1 and E2 simultaneously driven can be set.

  • Patent number: 6380690
Abstract: In a capacitive load drive circuit, in order to bring an output terminal used for supplying a drive voltage to a non-selected capacitive load into a high impedance state and in order to prevent the capacitive load from being unnecessarily driven by electric charge flowing to parasitic diodes at the output terminal, such as to prevent a non-selected electroluminescence element from turning on, a synchronizing unit generates second selecting signals by synchronizing first selecting signals to a clock signal constituting a basis of a drive signal of a common inverter for generating drive voltage to a common output terminal of plural electroluminescence elements, a drive signal generating unit brings individual output terminals into the high impedance state based thereon and a timing thereof is synchronized to a timing at which a potential difference between two poles of the non-selected electroluminescence element is nullified.
