  • Patent number: 6953929
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of discriminating singly-charged ions from multiply-charged ions by the use of an ion trap type mass spectrometer which is an inexpensive mass spectrometer. This is achieved by a mass-analyzing method using an ion trap type mass spectrometer equipped with a ring electrode and one pair of end cap electrodes to temporarily trap ions in a three-dimensional quadrupole field to mass-analyze a sample.

  • Patent number: 6953729
Abstract: In a heterojunction FET in which source and drain areas are formed by carrying out high temperature annealing process after carrying out ion implantation in areas to be formed into source and drain areas, conventionally, the N-type carrier supply layer and the N-type active layer are doped with Si. In place of doping with Si, doping with Se or Te is adopted. Thereby, in high temperature annealing process for activating the ion implanted areas, which serves as source and drain areas, unlike the Si donor, inactivation of donor due to reaction with F-atoms occurs scarcely with respect to the diffusion of F-atoms on the surface of the epitaxial substrate, which adhered during the process. Further, since the Se and Te are impurities from VI-family, when the Se or Te occupies any grid position of atoms from III-family or V-family, the Se or Te serves as the donor. Accordingly, a high performance heterojunction FET of little deterioration of the FET characteristics can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20050197009
Abstract: A connector enables a size reduction while maintaining a function of reliably preventing terminal members from falling out of terminal holes. In this connector, a plate spring piece is provided in a terminal hole of a connector housing, with a length thereof set to an axial direction of the terminal hole, and an engaging pawl protrudes from the plate spring piece. When a female terminal is inserted into the terminal hole, the engaging pawl engages with the female terminal and bends the plate spring piece downward, enabling the insertion. When the female terminal is inserted to a predetermined depth in the terminal hole, the plate spring piece returns and the engaging pawl moves into an engaging hole of the female terminal. The plate spring piece has a structure of which one length direction end portion and one side portion, along the length direction, are fixed to the connector housing.

  • Patent number: 6923678
Abstract: A fastening device for facilitating temporary fastening of an electronic component to a circuit board. The fastening device includes a base embedded in an electronic device and two elastic plates extending from the base. Each elastic plate includes a diagonal portion, which extend diagonally relative to the plane of the circuit board, and a leg, which extends continuously from the diagonal portion. When the legs are inserted through a connecting hole of the circuit board, the resilient force of the elastic plates presses the diagonal portions against the wall of the connecting hole.

  • Publication number: 20050151073
Abstract: Accurate mass measurement is carried out for product ions of a sample. A method for accurate mass determination of ions with Trap-TOF/?s includes steps of generating ions of an analyte sample and a standard material; introducing the ions of the analyte sample and the standard material together into an ion trap to trap them; selecting a precursor ion from the ions of the analyte sample to leave the precursor ion and a standard material ion in the ion trap and eliminate other ions; exciting and dissociating the precursor ion to generate product ions; ejecting the precursor ion, its product ions, and the standard material ion trapped in the ion trap to introduce these ions into the TOF mass spectrometer; and measuring a mass spectrum with the TOF mass spectrometer, where correction for accurate masses of the product ions is carried out based on the standard material ion measured.

  • Publication number: 20050124231
Abstract: A female terminal, into which a male terminal is inserted and connected, is formed in a shape of a substantially square tube. Respective one portions, in an axial direction and between corner portions, of a ceiling wall, a floor wall, and a pair of left and right side walls, which are four wall portions, are plate spring portions which contact the male terminal while elastically deforming independently of one another. Because the wall portions themselves structure the plate spring portions, there is no need to provide a plate spring within a tube wall, and the female terminal can be made compact. Further, contact pressure is ensured because the respective plate spring portions contact the male terminal from different directions.

  • Publication number: 20050086576
Abstract: A data receiver (201) or gateway (203) notifies a data transmitter (202) of error conditions in the data receiver (201) or gateway (203) via networks 1 (204) and 2 (205). According to the error conditions, the data transmitter (202) transmits data at a packet length corresponding to the error rate even for the higher level protocol common the networks 1 (204) and 2 (205), as well. Thus, the fraction of packets lost can be reduced in the higher level protocol common to the networks 1 (204) and 2 (205).

  • Patent number: 6870265
Abstract: In a semiconductor device, after the deposition of an interlayer insulating film is deposited on a substrate on which an element and wiring of a lower layer are provided, a via hole reaching to the wiring and an annular groove reaching to an annular pad are formed in the interlayer insulating film, in the internal element region and in the chip area outer periphery region, respectively. Next, by etching using a photoresist pattern formed on the inetrlayer insulating film as a mask, a larger groove for use in wiring than the via hole is formed in the internal element region. At this time, a portion of the annular groove, positioned in the side portion of the chip area outer periphery region, is filled with a portion of the photoresist pattern, thereby decreasing the amount of Cu and the like released from the bottom of the annular groove.

  • Patent number: 6840781
Abstract: A connector has terminals, each having a tip end portion. A wiring board has through holes. A land is provided on the wiring board about each through hole. When the connector is mounted on the wiring board, each terminal is connected to one of the lands with a part of the tip end portion being located in the corresponding through hole. The ratio of the cross-sectional area of each tip end portion to the cross-sectional area of each through hole is at least 0.11 and no more than 0.89. This improves the reliability of the joint portions between the terminals and the wiring board.

  • Patent number: 6838665
Abstract: A method of discriminating singly-charged ions from multiply-charged ions using an inexpensive ion trap type mass spectrometer is provided. A mass-analyzing method using an ion trap type mass spectrometer equipped with a ring electrode and one pair of end cap electrodes temporarily traps ions in a three-dimensional quadropole field to mass-analyze a sample. The method comprises applying a main high frequency voltage to the ring electrode forming a three-dimensional quadropole field; generating ions in the mass analyzing unit or injecting ions from the outside and trapping the ions of a predetermined mass-to-charge ratio in the mass analyzing unit; applying a supplementary AC voltage having a plurality of frequency components between the end cap electrodes and scanning the frequency components of the supplementary AC voltage; and scanning a main high frequency voltage and ejecting ions from the mass analyzing unit and detecting thereof. With this, chemical noises can be reduced dramatically.
