Abstract: Disclosed herein is a receiving apparatus, a receiving method, and a program which are configured to provide application programs to be executed in response to AV content. The receiving apparatus includes: a receiving block; a trigger acquisition block; an application acquisition block; and a control block. The control block acquires trigger information and, on the basis of a command obtained from the acquired trigger information, acquires a data broadcast application from an application server on the Internet or a data broadcast application transmitted as NRT content of an NRT service using a FLUTE session by referencing an FDT identified by an SMT and an NRT-IT. In accordance with a command obtained from the acquired trigger information, the control block controls an operation of the acquired application program. The present technology is applicable to television receivers configured to receive digital television broadcast signals.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a receiving device for receiving an AV content broadcast by a broadcasting wave, including: an obtaining section adapted to obtain a description document described in a predetermined computer language for displaying another content different from the AV content; a determining section adapted to determine whether the obtained description document is managed by a broadcaster which broadcasts the AV content or is managed by a different operator other than the broadcaster; and a controlling section adapted to control execution of the obtained description document in response to a result of the determination by the determining section.

Abstract: The present technology relates to a reception apparatus, a transmission apparatus, and a data processing method that permit downloaded reproduction of non-realtime content by reducing load associated with implementing resident applications. The reception apparatus acquires a first application, included in a digital broadcast signal, that handles a download of content reproduced in non-realtime, acquires metadata, included in the digital broadcast signal, that includes information for controlling the content download in response to operation of the first application, and handles the download of the content included in the digital broadcast signal by controlling the operation of the first application on the basis of the metadata. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a TV receiver.

Provided is an image display control apparatus including a data processing unit that controls image signals to be output to a display unit, the data processing unit being configured to execute a display control application supporting a content to be displayed on the display unit to generate output image signals. Abstract: A data broadcasting file based on HTML5 is transported in an MMT method. In a data content management table, information of a list of broadcasting transport files and a central file constituting a presentation unit, and a list of files to be pre-cached is described for each data broadcasting presentation unit. When a list of broadcasting files constituting a data broadcasting presentation unit to be referred to next after a current data broadcasting presentation unit is designated as a pre-cache target, a receiver side can pre-cache file data necessary for a data broadcasting presentation unit to be transitioned to next, and a timely data broadcasting service interoperating with a broadcast program can be realized.
