  • Publication number: 20100111134
Abstract: An inverter device is provided that can measure a decrease in cooling capacity caused by a finite service life of a cooling fan or clogging of a cooling fin, without being affected by an ambient temperature or a load state. A thermal time constant is calculated in a thermal time constant calculation circuit from a temperature detection value from a temperature detection circuit and a time signal from a timer on the basis of an operation/stop command for the inverter device. The calculated value of the thermal time constant calculated in the thermal time constant calculation circuit is compared by a comparator with a reference value of the thermal time constant that is stored in advance in a memory. Whether the cooling capacity has decreased is determined based on the comparison results.

  • Patent number: 7710747
Abstract: An inverter apparatus that can lengthen a lift span provides only a noise absorption film capacitor in a DC intermediate circuit between rectifying and inverter circuits, instead of a conventional electrolytic capacitor. In a voltage command generating unit, when a frequency set by a frequency setting unit is within a predetermined range including the frequency of an AC input power supply, PLL control is performed to make the frequency set by an output voltage command signal equal to the frequency of the AC input power supply voltage, and to substantially synchronize the peak value of the inverter circuit output voltage with the peak value of a voltage formed between both ends of the film capacitor. Accordingly, output voltage amplitude is generated when the frequency set by the output voltage command signal equals the frequency of the voltage of the AC input power supply.

  • Patent number: 7616249
Abstract: An image sensing device includes a prism unit, image sensing element, fixing member, case member, support member, and a switching mechanism. The prism unit has at least two reflecting surfaces each having a free-form surface shape. • Publication number: 20090062118
Abstract: The present invention provides a porous cellulose gel having a high mechanical strength capable of being operated at a higher flow rate, and a method for producing the same. To a suspension liquid of cellulose particles, a crosslinking agent in an amount of from 4 to 12 times the amount of the cellulose monomer in terms of moles and an alkali in an amount of from 0.1 to 1.5 times the amount of the crosslinking agent in terms of moles are added continuously dropwise or added dividedly over a prescribed period of time, whereby flow rate characteristics of a resulting porous cellulose gel can be enhanced. According to the invention, the production efficiency of a polymer substance, such as a nucleic acid and a protein can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7254345
Abstract: In a receiver operable in response to a data signal, an eye aperture size is detected along a time axis by an eye aperture detection circuit and is controlled by a control circuit so that it becomes a maximum. The eye aperture detection circuit determines different decision time points of the same level arranged along a time axis and judges whether or not an error is caused to occur at each of the decision time points, so as to detect the eye aperture size and to produce detection results. The control circuit processes the detection results in accordance with a predetermined algorithm to successively vary the eye aperture size and to keep the data signal at an optimum amplitude.

  • Patent number: 6783240
Abstract: A computer controlled perimetry system, which is easily operated even by an unskilled operator, for accurately measuring a visual field, and with which many patients can be effectively examined, has a dome having a hemispherical inner surface; a projector projecting a light spot onto the inner surface of the dome; an arm for horizontally moving the projector so as to trace a semicircle along the surface of a virtual hemisphere opposite to the dome; a first motor for driving the arm; a second motor for changing the projecting direction of the projector; a liquid crystal display for displaying the light spot projected onto the inner surface of the dome; a monitor display for observing a patient; and a computer storing a program for controlling the rotation of the first and second motors. Thus, the light spot projected by the projector can be swept to any point on the inner surface of the dome.

  • Patent number: 6757174
Abstract: A switching power-supply module includes a coil pattern of a transformer or an inductor disposed on a substrate. A portion of the coil pattern projects into an edge portion of the substrate. A plurality of terminals are arranged in the substrate edge portion so that they do not touch the coil pattern. The substrate edge portion is soaked in molten solder in the production procedure in order to fix the terminals onto the substrate with solder after components are solder-connected on the substrate. For this reason, the components were previously prohibited from being mounted in the substrate edge portion, and this region has been previously considered to be a dead space. However, in the present invention, since a portion of the coil pattern projects into the substrate edge portion, dead space is minimized, and the size of the substrate, that is, of the switching power supply module is greatly reduced.

  • Patent number: 6661835
Abstract: At a base station 2, a CDMA received signal coming in through an antenna 4 is fed to a radio frequency unit (RFU) or high frequency unit 6. The RFU 6 demodulates a baseband signal BB from a signal RF and delivers the signal BB to an analog-to-digital converter (A/D) 8. The resulting digital signal output from the A/D 8 is input to a hybrid interference canceller (HIC) 12 as a received signal Rx Data 10. The HIC 12 divides users into two groups and assigns one combination of a parallel interference canceller and a serial interference canceller to each group. The HIC 12 cancels interference contained in the received signal Rx Data 10 for thereby estimating symbols particular to a plurality of users.

  • Patent number: 6570148
Abstract: A photo receiver branches a data signal obtained by photoelectric conversion and supplies the signal to a signal cutoff detector. Depending on the degree of an autocorrelation of a data signal obtained by an autocorrelation detector, the signal cutoff detector detects abnormality/normality. Depending on a level of a control signal to a VCO contained in a frequency phase-locked loop for use in clock generation, an out-of-synchronization detector makes determination of abnormality/normality. Outputs of both the detectors are ORed at an alarm processor and when at least one of the detectors detects abnormality, the detector generates an alarm.
