  • Patent number: 6795271
Abstract: A recording head is a magnetic head in which ends on one side of opposed first and second magnetic cores form a recording gap, said other ends form a magnetic joint, coils insulated by an insulating material are provided between said first and second magnetic cores, magnetic fluxes of said first and second magnetic cores excited by said coils leak from said recording gap so that recording onto a recording medium is carried out. In said recording head, a distance from said end of said recording gap close to said magnetic medium to a contact point of said magnetic joint (hereinafter, yoke length) is not more than 20 &mgr;m. A magnetic recording/reproduction apparatus has this head.

  • Publication number: 20040169548
Abstract: In a step-up apparatus, a first level shift circuit receives a first clock signal to generate two phase-opposite second clock signals, and a second level shift circuit receives the first clock signal to generate two phase-opposite third clock signals. A charge pump circuit steps up a power supply voltage at a power supply voltage terminal using the second clock signals to generate a positive voltage, and a polarity inverting circuit inverts the positive voltage using the third clock signals to generate a negative voltage whose absolute value is the same as the positive voltage. A high level of the second clock signals is not higher than the positive voltage, and a low level of the second clock signals is not lower than a voltage at a ground terminal. A high level of the third clock signals is not higher than the power supply voltage, and a low level of the third clock signals is not lower than the negative voltage.

  • Publication number: 20040049755
Abstract: A layout capable of placing a circuit constituted by a plurality of transistors in a small-with region is automatically formed. A search section inputs data on a circuit and makes a search for a set of routes formed so that passage through any one of the transistors occurs only one time and so that the combination of routes in one set can cover the entire circuit network. An extraction section extracts a set of routes having the smallest number of routes in sets of route found by searching. A width determination section determines the layout width from the widths of source and drain electrodes of each transistor, the width of the region between the source and drain electrodes, the width of the region between some of the adjacent pairs of the transistors not combined into a common electrode, the number of transistors, and the smallest number of routes.

  • Patent number: 6687082
Abstract: A magnetic head and a manufacturing method of the magnetic head and a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus used this head, in which the following problem is solved, are provided. A plated film realizing large saturation magnetization Bs about 2T can not realize a high resistivity at the same time, therefore, when this plated film is applied to a magnetic head, the high frequency characteristic is deteriorated. This problem is solved at the present invention. Further, the present invention provides a magnetic head that is low cost and has large saturation magnetization Bs, and has a excellent high frequency characteristic suitable for a high density recording.
