  • Patent number: 4082252
Abstract: A method and system for processing molten slag is characterized in that molten slag is first spread onto a slag receiving means which is substantially made of a steel plate of desired thickness and is tiltably mounted on the floor of a roofed slag processing factory and is subsequently air and water-cooled such that the slag is solidified and finally is water-quenched in a cooling water pit whereby the resulting solidified slag is of practical use which neither collapses nor produces dust.

  • Patent number: 4022169
Abstract: An ignition timing control member extends through the center of a first vacuum chamber having a central movable sleeve adapted to be contacted by a flange on the control member to limit movement thereof in a direction to advance the ignition timing. The first vacuum chamber is connected to be responsive to vacuum intensity at a first vacuum outlet communicating with the engine intake passage near the throttle valve and upstream therefrom. The control member is moved by vacuum intensity within a second vacuum chamber connected through a selector valve assembly to a second vacuum outlet connected to the engine intake passage downstream from the throttle valve.

  • Patent number: 4020455
Abstract: Apparatus to detect deceleration of a motor vehicle having an automatic transmission includes a first electrical switch operated by release of pressure from the accelerator pedal and a second electrical switch operated by application of pressure to the brake pedal. A detector device having an output signal is connected in parallel with the electric switches. The output signal of the detector device is employed to vary the spark timing of an internal combustion engine. In a modification, the electric switches are connected in series.
