  • Patent number: 8667567
Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and computer storage device for managing zone information for devices in a network. A zone group table includes entries for different pairs of zones, wherein each entry indicates whether access between a pair of the zones is permitted. An attribute zone table indicates whether devices in the zones are initiator, target and/or initiator/target. For a selected zone, indication is made of whether ports in the devices in the selected zone have an initiator, target and/or initiator/target attribute as indicated in the attribute zone table. A determination is made as to whether all the ports in the devices in the selected zone have the same attribute of initiator, target or initiator/target. If so, a division proposal is indicated for the selected zone proposing to separate devices in the selected zone into at least one new zone.

  • Patent number: 8488137
Abstract: An image forming apparatus comprises a main body, a post-processing device, an objective working section, a light source and a shade member. The post-processing device is disposed freely displaceable between a retracted position at which it is received by an intra-body paper discharge section of the main body and a protruded position at which it is drawn to one side face side. The objective working section is disposed on an upstream side face of the post-processing device in the drawing direction of the post-processing device. The light source is disposed on the upstream side face of the post-processing device, and lights up the objective working section at the protruded position. The shade member is disposed on the upstream side face of the post-processing device and in the front face side from the light source, and blocks direct projection light of the light source to the front face side.

  • Patent number: 8427804
Abstract: A power amplifier for driving a load connected to an output terminal having an output transistor connected in parallel with a corresponding current detection path between the output terminal and a power supply. The detection path includes a switching device and a resistor connected in series, the switching device is turned on only during an on-state period of the corresponding output transistor, and the presence or absence of over-current generation is detected at the output transistors on the basis of a sensing signal obtained from a point connecting the switching device and the resistor. When over-current is detected, the operation of the output transistors is stopped to protect the amplifier.

  • Patent number: 8291507
Abstract: When a shortcut of a document is generated, a user is caused to set the number of times of access to the shortcut. A shortcut identifier for identifying the shortcut is generated. The shortcut identifier and the number of times of access are registered in a shortcut management table in association with each other. Thereafter, the generated shortcut identifier and a mail address as a destination of a mail are set in the shortcut. The mail attached with the shortcut is transmitted. When the mail address set in the shortcut attached to the received mail and a mail address of the user stored in a PC that receives the mail coincide with each other, access to the document linked to the shortcut is permitted. This enables to more appropriately adjust the access to the document than in the past without changing an access right of the document itself.

  • Publication number: 20120198523
Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and computer storage device for managing zone information for devices in a network. A zone table includes entries indicating whether devices in at least one zone are permitted to communicate. An attributes table has attributes of the devices indicated in the zone table. A determination is made of attributes from the attributes table for devices indicated in the zone table entries as being permitted to communicate. The entries in the zone table indicating that devices can communicate are verified by determining whether the attributes for the devices indicated as permitted to communicate in the entries in the zone table are consistent with the determined devices being able to communicate. Information is outputted indicating whether the entries in the zone table indicating that devices can communicate are in error.

  • Publication number: 20120189141
Abstract: A pair of PWM signals having mutually opposite or identical phases is applied to both terminals of a load to drive the load. An anomaly detection circuit detects a state of change in the pair of PWM signals (PWM+ and PWM?), performs counting operation when at least one PWM signal stops changing, and outputs an anomaly detection signal when the count value becomes a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 8200672
Abstract: In a search support server, a related word extraction unit generates frequency information and co-occurrence information of keywords, a graph generation unit generates coordinate information of a spring graph including the keywords as nodes, on the basis of the co-occurrence information, a cluster generation unit groups the nodes into clusters and thereby generates cluster definition information, and a display information generation unit generates display information of the spring graph. In addition, an operation determination unit determines which operation is performed on the spring graph. Then, when a level change is instructed, the display information generation unit generates display information of the spring graph after the level is changed. When a node change is instructed, a cluster re-generation unit changes the cluster definition information and the frequency information.

  • Patent number: 8150823
Abstract: The present invention provides a search apparatus, method and program using a public search engine, which is capable of acquiring necessary information without allowing confidential information to be inferred. Input of a desired search word comprising characters is received, and characters are extracted from the search word. Multiple character strings comprising the extracted characters are generated. A word is selected as a noise word, and characters are selected from the noise word. A noise character string comprising the extracted characters is generated. A query is generated by combining the character strings and noise character strings, and is transmitted to the search engine. A search is performed by use of the search word over a search result transmitted from the search engine in reply to the query, and the search result is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20120005544
Abstract: The document management system assigns property information of a scanned document when transmitting the scanned document from an MFP to a document management server PC, and stores history information related to the transmission job in a memory. Further, the MFP, on receipt of incorrectness information related to property information from the document management server PC, adds the incorrectness information to the history information. Thereafter, when a user logs into the MFP, the MFP determines whether incorrectness information is included in history information having the same user ID as a user ID of the user, and if incorrectness information is included, displays a modification screen for modifying incorrect property information. Further, once the property information has been modified via the modification screen, the MFP transmits the modified information to the document management server PC, and causes information managed by the document management server PC to be updated.
