  • Patent number: 8203917
Abstract: An optical pickup apparatus is provided with an optical system for guiding a laser light emitted from a laser light source to an objective lens and also for guiding the laser light reflected by a recording medium to a photodetecting section as a convergent light. The photodetecting section is provided with first and second photodetectors disposed at positions at which a first part of the target laser light and a second part different from the first part are respectively received, the positions being separated further from the optical system than a convergence position of a target laser light reflected by an irradiation-target recording layer, out of the laser light reflected by the recording medium, and a third photodetector disposed at a position closer to the optical system than the convergence position of the target laser light, the position being bridging more over the second part than the first part.

  • Patent number: 7969853
Abstract: A servo objective lens and a recording/reproducing objective lens are commonly held on a holder. The servo objective lens and the recording/reproducing objective lens are integrally displaced, thereby pulling servo light onto a servo layer. Upon the pulling, focus positions of recording light and reproducing light follow a focus position of the servo light. As a result, the focus positions of recording light and reproducing light are set close to the servo layer. Thereafter, an optical element for displacing the focus positions of recording light and reproducing light in the optical axis direction is driven to pull the recording light and the reproducing light onto a targeted recording layer.

  • Patent number: 7710845
Abstract: The light energy necessary for the precure process is held by the RFID at the holographic memory. The controller acquires the light energy corresponding to the temperature of the recording position detected by the temperature sensor out of the precure information acquired by the RFID reader. The exposure time (light emitting time of LED) Te in the precure process is calculated based on the calculating equation Te (sec)=En (joule)/Pd (watt) from the energy En and the intensity Pd of light irradiated onto the recording position detected by the light detector.

  • Patent number: 7483189
Abstract: Even when a tilt error is caused in a holographic memory in a direction perpendicular to a surface including optical axes of a signal beam and a reference beam, the signal beam and the reference beam are allowed to enter the holographic memory at adequate angles relative thereto at all times by suppression of the tilt error. During recording and reproducing operations, the reference incident angle of the reference beam in the radial tilt direction is detected based on a received light state. A tilt actuator for displacing the holographic memory medium in the radial tilt direction is driven to adjust an incident angle of the reference beam in the radial tilt direction to the reference angle Sr. Then, the signal beam and the reference beam are emitted to the holographic memory medium to execute the recording and reproducing operations.

A reference tilt hologram for specifying a reference incident angle of the reference beam in a radial tilt direction is recorded in advance on a holographic memory medium. During recording and reproducing operations, the reference beam is emitted to a recording position of the reference tilt hologram and the reference incident angle (reference angle Sr) of the reference beam in the radial tilt direction is detected based on a received light state. A tilt actuator (19) for displacing the holographic memory medium in the radial tilt direction is driven to adjust an incident angle of the reference beam in the radial tilt direction to the reference angle Sr.

  • Publication number: 20070130732
Abstract: To provide a fastening tape equipped with an extensible material or other fastening elements that are free from excessive extension and contraction of an extensible member, can always keep a suitable degree of extension and contraction, do not therefore generate a disadvantage such as a red mark when they are used for a disposable diaper, and make it possible to easily recognize with eye that the suitable degree of extension and contraction is achieved. In a fastening element for detachably fixing two members, the fastening element is constituted so that it comprises a fastening member having an extensible member incorporating therein an indicator capable of visually showing a degree of extension and contraction.

  • Publication number: 20070115523
Abstract: To properly reproduce information from a holographic memory even when a tilt error occurs in a direction vertical to a surface including optical axes of data light and reference light. During reproduction, a holographic memory (10) is fed stepwise from an initial access position with respect to a reproduction target block within a fixed back and forth range in a disk circumferential direction. In each stepwise-fed position, an SNR of a reproduction signal is calculated by an SNR calculation circuit (19) to detect the quality of the reproduction signal. A disk circumferential direction position in which an SNR becomes best is set in a circumferential direction position with respect to the reproduction target block.
