    Abstract: Disclosed are a novel Lactobacillus fermentum) E4 strain isolated from Kimchi which is a traditional Korean fermented food and a mass production method for the strain. The Lactobacillus fermentum E4 strain is verified to be a safe and useful probiotic strain through acid tolerance, bile acid tolerance, gelatin liquefaction, and urease tests. In addition, high DPPH free radical scavenging (%) associated with antioxidant activity was observed, and reduction in cytokines Iinterleukin-1? (IL-1?), Iinterleukin-8 (IL-8), Iinterleukin-6 (IL-6), and Toll-like receptor (TLR4), which are associated with an inflammatory response, was observed.

    Abstract: A precipitation nowcasting method using dynamic motion vectors includes calculating a multiscale motion vector of a radar precipitation motion vector and a numerical model precipitation motion vector by changing spatial scale of cross correlation analysis for reach of a preset time interval from precipitation data obtained through a dual polarization radar, calculating a dynamic motion vector by merging the radar precipitation motion vector and the numerical model precipitation motion vector, generating a precipitation development and dissipation map through precipitation tracking and matching using the dynamic motion vector, and outputting a precipitation forecast field for each forecast time by applying the dynamic motion vector and the precipitation development and dissipation map to Lagrangian backward extrapolation. Accordingly, it is possible to achieve realistic precipitation forecast field simulation.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for activating a secondary battery. The present invention comprises: a primary charging step of charging a secondary battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and an electrolyte; a room temperature-aging step of storing, at a room temperature, the secondary battery that has undergone the primary charging step; and a high temperature-aging step of storing, at a high temperature, the secondary battery that has undergone the room temperature-aging step, wherein charging/discharging is performed by alternately applying + current and ? current to the secondary battery at the end of the primary charging step. The method for activating a secondary battery according to the present invention includes alternately applying + current and ? current to the secondary battery at the end of the primary charging step to stabilize an SEI film, thereby shortening a following-up aging time.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a porous silicon-silicon oxide-carbon composite comprising a silicon oxide-carbon structure and silicon particles, wherein the silicon oxide-carbon structure comprises a plurality of micropores, and the silicon particles are uniformly distributed in the silicon oxide-carbon structure. The porous silicon-silicon oxide-carbon composite of the present invention shows decreased volume expansion due to the intercalation of lithium ions and improved electric conductivity, and has a porous structure. Accordingly, an electrolyte easily penetrates into the porous structure, and output properties may be improved. When the composite is included in a negative electrode active material, the performance of a lithium secondary battery may be further improved.
