  • Publication number: 20070171336
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (“LCD”) includes forming only a ?/4 plate between a polarizer and a display panel and setting a direction of an absorption axis of the polarizer and a slow axis of the ?/4 plate, so that the LCD can have a smaller thickness and its fabrication cost can be reduced while having better or the same characteristics than an LCD using both ?/2 and ?/4 plates. In addition, in an ECB mode backlit LCD, transmittance, contrast ratio, and viewing angles can be enhanced by attaching both the ?/4 or ?/2 plate and allowing the absorption axis of the polarizer and the slow axis of the ?/4 and ?/2 plates to have predetermined angle relationships.

Abstract: An image signal processor for processing an input image signal to output an output image signal includes an input unit receiving the input image signal, a noise removal unit removing noise from the input image signal, and a scaler reducing, maintaining or magnifying the image size of the input image signal. The scaler directly receives the input image signal from the input unit or the noise removal unit in response to a route control signal, reduces the image size of the input image signal when the image size of the input image signal is larger than the image size of the output image signal and stores the image signal with a reduced image size in a memory. The scaler maintains or magnifies the image size of the image signal stored in the memory and outputs the image signal with a maintained or magnified image size as the output image signal.

  • Publication number: 20070069695
Abstract: An electric power controller for vehicle comprises an overheat detector, a voltage detector, a voltage converter, a switching unit, and a controller. The overheat detector detects whether a power line supplying power from a vehicle battery to vehicle load is overheated. The voltage detector detects a voltage of the vehicle battery. The voltage converter converts power from the vehicle battery into a proper voltage and outputs a switching control signal reflecting the proper voltage. The switching unit performs ON/OFF switching operations based on the switching control signal to control power from the vehicle battery to the vehicle load. The controller receives an overheat signal from the overheat detector and the voltage from the voltage detector, determines whether there is an abnormal current, and outputs a switching control signal, corresponding to a change of the voltage, to the switching unit.

The AFIFD allows safe swimming of the amphibious vehicle, provides rapidity through automated folding and unfolding processes. The AFIFD has a membrane structure having a seal function and a plate structure having protection power, which are organically combined with each other, to provide both a seal function and protection power. The AFIFD is provided with air while being unfolded by the operation of driving means when the amphibious vehicle swims in water, so that the membrane structure and the plate structure are unfolded to form a completely sealed floating space. When the amphibious vehicle does not swim in water, the structures are folded and closed fixed to a vehicle body, so that the amphibious vehicle can run on ground without any difficulty.
