Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a registration area determining method, to reduce overheads for sending paging signaling to user equipment. The method in the embodiments of the present disclosure includes: determining, by a mobility management entity, that both duration in which user equipment does not access a basic registration area in a registration area of the user equipment and duration in which the user equipment does not initiate a periodic basic registration area update procedure are greater than or equal to preset duration; generating, by the mobility management entity, a new registration area for the user equipment, where the new registration area does not include the basic registration area; and sending, by the mobility management entity, the new registration area to the user equipment. The embodiments of the present disclosure further provide a mobility management entity, to reduce the overheads for sending paging signaling to the user equipment.

Abstract: A method, a system, a network element, and a gateway for processing access point name restriction information are disclosed. The method includes a second mobility management element receives first access point name restriction information from a first mobility management element, and the second mobility management element obtains maximum access point name restriction information according to the first access point name restriction information, so that a packet data network gateway determines to or refuses to establish a new packet data network gateway connection. With the present invention, the second mobility management element may obtain the maximum access point name restriction information according to the received access point name restriction information. In this way, the packet data network gateway can determine to or refuse to establish a new packet data network gateway connection, therefore improving the security of private packet data network gateways.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for establishing a direct tunnel, which relate to the field of communications network technologies and can reduce the number of signaling messages that need to be processed on a GGSN or an SGW and reduce signaling load on the GGSN or the SGW. In the embodiments of the present invention, a mobility management network element determines that a character of a user terminal satisfies a preset condition for establishing a direct tunnel; a request message is sent to a gateway to establish a downlink direct tunnel between a radio access network and the gateway; and a response message sent by the gateway is received, where the response message is used to confirm that the downlink direct tunnel between the radio access network and the gateway has been successfully established.

The second host owns the data item. The hub receives, from the second engine, the data item and an access rule set by the second host for the first host, and sends the first access rule and the data item to the first engine for storage. The first engine grants the first host access to the data item according to the first access rule.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a message processing method and apparatus, and relate to the field of communications technologies. The method includes: comparing a message feature of a currently processed message with a specified tracking feature; determining a user corresponding to the message as a target user when determining that the message feature matches the tracking feature; and reporting a signaling message of the target user to a network management server. In the present invention, a network fault is quickly located, and network connection efficiency is improved.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a packet data network (PDN) connection reestablishing method, a reset central server, a mobility management network element, and a data gateway. The method includes: receiving, by the reset central server, a first message sent by the data gateway, where the first message includes first identification information; determining, by the reset central server according to the first identification information, an identifier, of the mobility management network element, corresponding to the first identification information; and sending, by the reset central server, a second message to the mobility management network element corresponding to the identifier of the mobility management network element, where the second message includes an identifier of user equipment, so that the mobility management network element reestablishes a packet data network PDN connection of the user equipment according to the second message.

Abstract: A location proxy server receives a network-initiated location request. The location proxy server determines the location request is a coarse location request for a mobile device. The location proxy server forwards the coarse location request for the mobile device to a location server. The location server completes a control plane function to determine the location of the mobile device and provides a location answer to the location proxy server. The location proxy server provides the location answer to the application server initiating the location request.
