A start time is determined for an additional process to be run on a worker node within a duration of a sleep state of a task of a process already running on the worker node by adding a first defined buffer time to a determined start time of the sleep state of the task. A backfill time is determined for the additional process by subtracting a second defined buffer time from a determined end time of the sleep state of the task. A scheduling plan is generated for the additional process based on the start time and the backfill time corresponding to the additional process. The scheduling plan is executed to run the additional process on the worker node according to the start time and the backfill time corresponding to the additional process.

In the present application, a hollow portion is provided near at least one of engagement walls of a key of the Oldham ring and a corresponding sliding slot of the mating component, so that the at least one engagement wall has a predetermined stiffness and is elastically deformable. As a result, the effective contact area between the Oldham ring and the mating component can be increased, the stress concentration can be reduced, and the wear of the engagement wall can be reduced, thereby improving the performance of the scroll compressor and extending the service life of the scroll compressor.

After ejection the battery can remain attached to the aircraft through a retaining tether. A shock absorber in-line with the tether can decrease tether loads. The present disclosure provides an ejectable battery system capable of detecting a battery pack thermal runaway, aircraft malfunction, or impending crash, opening an aircraft battery hatch, ejecting the battery pack from the aircraft, and retaining the battery pack outside of the aircraft via a tether.

    Abstract: A battery system includes a plurality of battery modules each formed from a plurality of battery cells. A shared cooling structure is thermally coupled to each of the battery modules. The shared cooling structure is configured to conduct heat relative to the battery modules. A thermal interface is disposed between the battery cells of each battery module and the shared cooling structure. Each thermal interface is configured to transition from a first thermal conductivity state to a second thermal conductivity state when heat generated by the respective battery cells exceeds a threshold level. The second thermal conductivity state is lower than the first thermal conductivity state such that after one of the thermal interfaces has transitioned from the first thermal conductivity state to the second thermal conductivity state, heat transfer from the respective battery cells to the shared cooling structure is reduced.

    Abstract: An active isolation detection method may be used with an electrical system having a battery pack connected to a high-voltage bus. The bus has positive and negative bus rails, each having a respective rail-to-ground voltage. The method may include connecting variable resistance element to the high-voltage bus, and determining input information indicative electrical characteristics of the battery pack, the high-voltage bus, and/or a charging station. The method includes varying a bias resistance of the high-voltage bus, via control of the variable resistance element, e.g., via duty cycle control of a binary switch in series with a bias resistor, to produce a varied bias resistance based on the input information. A target voltage shift is achieved on the high-voltage bus as a target level of change in one of the rail-to-ground voltages. An isolation resistance of the electrical system is determined via the controller using the varied bias resistance.
