  • Publication number: 20060180747
Abstract: An ambient light sensor structure and its circuit characteristic are disclosed, and the ambient light sensor structure includes a power supply, a converter, and a pulse process unit. The power supply is to provide a reference voltage interface, a high voltage interface and a low voltage interface. The converter includes a first current to pulse converter, a second current to pulse converter, a first light sensor and a second light sensor. The pulse process unit comprises four circuit blocking with a signal subtract component, a counter, a digital to analog converter and a buffer by series connection. Without incidence light, two light sensors would produce a dark current due to the material character of two photo diodes. Therefore, two current to pulse converters convert the dark current into a pulse signal and transmit the pulse signal to the signal subtract component in order to cancel the dark current.

  • Patent number: 6232234
Abstract: A short period of low power plasma-activated process is imposed after film-forming to remove residual chemical compound. This method includes flowing one or more carrier gases with one or more reaction gases into the chamber, reducing plasma power to react the residual chemical compound with the reaction gases, and pumping to evacuate reaction product from the reaction chamber. The reduced plasma can be achieved by increasing gap spacing at a constant power or gradient power. Alternatively, it can be obtained by keeping the same spacing as the main process with a small power source.

  • Patent number: 5936478
Abstract: A voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) is provided which can minimize the frequency shift and phase disturbance caused by noise in the input voltage to the VCO. The VCO includes a voltage-to-current converting unit, receiving the input voltage, for generating a bias voltage. A ring-oscillating unit including an odd number of cascaded ring oscillator stages (ROSC) is coupled to the voltage-to-current converting unit for generating an oscillating signal. A bias unit is coupled to the ring-oscillating unit for generating a stable DC bias voltage for the ring-oscillating unit. A current adjustment unit is coupled to the voltage-to-current converting unit and the ring-oscillating unit, which can generate a working current in response to the bias voltage for the ring-oscillating unit.
