  • Patent number: 6837015
Abstract: An installation for protecting water pipes is easily installed, even in areas of a water pipe wall where bends exist, can be inexpensively manufactured, and delivers stable longevity in high temperature environments. A refractory castable process embeds refractory castable 12 in concave areas between adjacent water pipes, at least in bend areas 24 where the pipes bend, to create an approximately flat surface on the water pipe wall 26 that faces the high temperature side. A refractory tile process installs approximately flat-shaped refractory tiles 13 over the surface of the embedded refractory castable 12. This refractory tile process for the refractory tile 13 includes a process to insert fastening members 15 previously installed on the foregoing water pipe 10 into a groove formed in the refractory tiles 13 to hold the tiles in place and a process to bind the refractory tiles 13 to the embedded refractory castable with an adhesive material.

  • Publication number: 20040027882
Abstract: Disclosed is a semiconductor memory device which shortens an external access time when there is contention between an external access and an internal access. The semiconductor memory device includes an arbiter which receives a first entry signal for entering a first access mode (external access) and a second entry signal for entering a second access mode (internal access) and determines priority of the first and second access modes in accordance with an order of receipt of the first and second entry signals. The arbiter sequentially generates a first mode trigger signal corresponding to the first entry signal and a second mode trigger signal corresponding to the second entry signal in accordance with the determined priority. The arbiter executes the first access mode by priority over the second access mode when the arbiter is supplied with the first entry signal with a predetermined period after the second access mode has been determined to have priority.

  • Publication number: 20030232242
Abstract: Gaskets in a storage element such as a battery or an electric double-layer capacitor are of a multiple-layer construction composed of a plurality of layers having holes of different inside dimensions. The upper-layer gaskets have holes with an inside diameter that is the same size as the outside diameter of the solid electrodes, and the lower-layer gaskets have holes with an inside diameter that is larger than the outside diameter of the solid electrodes. The electrodes are each closely fitted within the holes of the upper-layer gaskets and, as a result, are firmly secured and prevented from shifting. The fusion surface area of the upper-layer gaskets that are bonded together is increased. The existence of spaces for holding electrolytic solution between the inside diameter of the holes of the lower-layer gaskets and the outside diameter of the solid electrodes increases the amount of internal electrolytic solution that can be held.
