  • Patent number: 5996978
Abstract: In a first type, there is provided, inside an inner tube of a twin-tube type of damper, a pressurizing chamber to be defined by a free piston which is slidably fit onto an outer surface of a rod. A fluid pressure from an outside pressure source is supplied to the pressurizing chamber to push down a damper piston via the free piston to thereby forcibly contract the damper. In a second type, there is provided inside an inner tube a cylinder which is slidably fit onto an outer surface of a rod, and a piston mounted on the rod is inserted into the cylinder. A fluid pressure from the pressure source is supplied to the pressurizing chamber inside the cylinder to push down the rod via the piston to thereby forcibly contract the damper. In a third type, a rod is slidably inserted into a partition wall in an intermediate portion of a damper main body of a mono-tube type of damper.

  • Patent number: 5927071
Abstract: The hydraulic pressure to be supplied to a hydraulic actuator mounted on a vehicle, such as a hydraulic cylinder for vehicle height control, is arranged to be generated by utilizing a waste heat of a power source such as an engine of the vehicle or the like. There are provided an oil chamber to be connected to a hydraulic actuator, a pressurizing chamber containing therein, in a sealed manner, a medium which varies between a gaseous state and a liquid state, and a heating device which heats and evaporates the medium inside the pressurizing chamber and through which cooling water for cooling the power source to be mounted on the vehicle flows. The hydraulic pressure is generated by compressing the oil chamber by a vapor pressure of the medium inside the pressurizing chamber. In case the hydraulic actuator is a hydraulic cylinder for a vehicle height control, there is provided a flow control valve which controls the amount of supply of the cooling water to the heating device depending on the vehicle height.

  • Patent number: 5881801
Abstract: A vessel of a liquid pressure generating apparatus is divided into two vessels of an upper liquid pressure generating vessel containing therein a liquid chamber whose volume can be varied, and a lower medium vessel into which is filled a medium which varies between a gaseous state and a liquid state. Both the vessels are connected by a communicating passage. The two vessels are respectively provided with heating heat exchange portions into which is inputted an external heat such as a waste heat of a driving source of a vehicle. The medium vessel is also provided with a cooling heat exchange portion. By the inputting of heat and stopping thereof, the liquid pressure can be controlled with good response.

  • Patent number: 5175689
Abstract: A data processing apparatus generates data denoting a predetermined point on a virtual surface shape formed denoting the basis of digitized data on a tool path for an inverted shape work piece, to thereby facilitates examination of the size of the inverted shape work piece. That is, digitized data obtained by scanning a model shape is input and edited to prepare digitized data representing a tool path for machining a work piece. The digitized data representing the tool path is converted to prepare a numerical control working program. Work piece examination data are also prepared based on denoting an arbitrary measurement point of a scanning probe, data denoting the measuring direction at the measuring point and the digitized data representing the tool path for machining the work piece.

  • Patent number: 4304210
Abstract: A system for controlling exhaust gas recirculation in an internal combustion engine, comprising means for performing exhaust gas recirculation in a first required value when an engine temperature is at a first predetermined level or higher, means for stopping exhaust gas recirculation when said engine temperature reaches a second predetermined level or lower, the second predetermined level being lower than the first predetermined level, and means for performing exhaust gas recirculation in a second required value which is lower than the first required value, within a temperature range between first and second predetermined levels, the second required value increasing as a function of the engine temperature in response to increase in the engine temperature, thereby preventing exhaust gas recirculation from being abruptly carried out in large amounts so as to improve the driveability of a motor vehicle on which the engine is mounted.

  • Patent number: 4300516
Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation control system for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, comprising an exhaust gas recirculation control valve for controlling exhaust gas recirculated back to the engine when opened, and means for fully opening the exhaust gas recirculation control valve for a predetermined period of time when operating condition of the vehicle reaches a predetermined level, thereby preventing exhaust gas recirculation from performing with a delayed time relative to a required timing.
