    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating body defining a receiving chamber of which a top inside is further concaved upward to form a buckling cavity, an inner cover and an outer shell mounted outside the insulating body. A top wall of the buckling cavity is provided with a window vertically penetrating therethrough to communicate with the buckling cavity. The inner cover has a covering board buckled in the buckling cavity and facing to the window. The outer shell has a base plate covered on the top wall. A portion of the base plate is punched downward to form a contact portion which stretches into the window to electrically contact the covering board of the inner cover so as to achieve a grounding function of the inner cover through the outer shell.

    Abstract: A USB (Universal Serial Bus) connector includes an insulating housing having a base portion. The base portion extends rearward to form an extending portion. Two sides of a rear surface of the extending portion define two receiving cavities, respectively. A separating wall is formed between two receiving cavities. Two side walls are formed outside the respective receiving cavities. A plurality of signal terminals fixed in the insulating housing respectively have a soldering foot received in the receiving cavity, with a distal end of the soldering foot extending beyond a bottom of the extending portion. A fixing board is inserted in bottoms of the receiving cavities. The fixing board has a base board which defines a clipping slot penetrating a front edge thereof and clipping on the separating wall and two restraining slots at two sides of the clipping slot for constraining the soldering feet of the corresponding signal terminals therein.

    Abstract: An audio jack connector has an insulating housing. The insulating housing has a passageway extended from a front surface towards a rear surface thereof for receiving an audio plug connector, a first groove communicated with the passageway and a second groove communicated with the first groove. A first switch terminal received in the first groove has a base plate, an elastic arm extended from one end of the base plate and bent towards the passageway, and a first contacting portion formed at a free end of the elastic arm. A first convexity is formed at a substantially root portion of the elastic arm. A second switch terminal received in the second groove has a second contacting portion. The first contacting portion is driven to move outwards to contact with the second contacting portion when the audio plug connector is inserted in the passageway and resists against the first convexity outwards.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an inner shell which defines a receiving recess and has a base board, an insulating body which defines a receiving chamber with a front end being opened freely for receiving the inner shell therein, a plurality of terminals insert-molded in the insulating body and exposed to the receiving recess, and an outer shell which encloses the insulating body and has a base plate. A connecting slot is opened in and penetrates through a rear wall of the receiving chamber. A rear edge of the base board is provided with a contact slice passing through the connecting slot and then bent against the rear wall. A rear edge of the base plate is bent downward and then arched forward to form a contact tail which is located behind the rear wall and electrically abuts against the contact slice to achieve a ground function of the inner shell.

Each of the second terminals has a second contact arm defining two opposite contact means, and a third contact arm defining a second contact portion towards the second contact arm. When the plug connector is mated with the receptacle connector, the elastic arm of the first terminal is disposed between the second and third contact arms of the corresponding second terminal to make the two first contact portions electrically contact one of the two contact means and the second contact portion respectively, and the first contact arm electrically abuts against the other contact means.

    Abstract: An audio jack connector includes a dielectric housing and a plurality of contacts received in the dielectric housing. The dielectric housing defines an insertion hole therein for an audio plug inserted into. One of the contacts is located at a rear of the dielectric housing and includes a bottom plate, a first fixed plate and a second fixed plate respectively extended upward from two opposite ends of the bottom plate. A contact protuberance is protruded towards the second fixed plate from a portion of the first fixed plate. A flexible plate is extended from the second fixed plate to be located between the first and second fixed plates. The flexible plate defines a contact convex protruded towards the first fixed plate at a free end thereof. The contact protuberance and the contact convex are both projected into the insertion hole for contacting with the audio plug.

The second locating cavity is located in front of and spaced from the first locating cavity. A cover defines two lateral plates respectively secured to the lateral sides, each has a locating portion and a buckling portion respectively protruded inwards from an inner side thereof. The locating portion is capable of being pivotally mounted in the first locating cavity, and then the locating portion and the buckling portion can be moved frontward to the second locating cavity and the second buckling cavity, respectively.

A free end of the lower resistive portion extends obliquely upwardly to form a connecting portion. A distal end of the connecting portion forms a propping portion located above the connecting plate.
