  • Patent number: 7445466
Abstract: A board-to-board connector assembly includes a receptacle and a plug. The receptacle has a receptacle housing, first contacts and two first fixing contacts mounted in the receptacle housing. The receptacle housing has a base, two first sidewalls, and two second sidewalls. A recess is formed among the base and the sidewalls. Each first fixing contact has a first fixing portion fixed in the corresponding second sidewall, the middle of the first fixing portion extending upward then bending downward to form an elastic portion which extends to form a contacting portion. The plug has a plug housing received in the recess, second contacts mounted in the plug housing, and two second fixing contacts. Each second fixing contact has a second fixing portion fixed in two opposite ends of the plug housing, the contacting portion of the first fixing contact being against the outside of the second fixing portion.

  • Patent number: 7402054
Abstract: The board-to-board connector comprises an insulating housing and a plurality of terminals. The terminals are mounted in corresponding terminal-receiving passages which are arranged in the insulating housing. The insulating housing has a base plate. A pair of first sidewalls protrudes upwards from the opposite longwise sides of the base plate. A pair of second sidewalls protrudes upwards from another opposite sides of the base plate. The central island portion keeps a certain distance to the first sidewalls and the second sidewalls, thus a periphery-receiving place is formed between the central island portion and sidewalls. Fixing parts are formed on the inside wall of the first sidewall exposed in the periphery-receiving place.

  • Patent number: 7387528
Abstract: A flexible printed circuit board connector includes a housing, a sliding cover and a pair of support nails. A pair of guiding grooves and a pair of insertion holes are defined in sidewalls of the housing for receiving the support nails. A protruding portion is formed on each support nail to form a pivotal hole between the protruding portion and inner surfaces of the groove. The sliding cover has a pair of cam shafts rotatably supported in the pivotal holes. The cross section of each cam shaft has an utmost protrudent point which brushes past an inner surface of the pivotal hole when flipping the sliding cover. The length of the longest chord of the cross section that passes the utmost protrudent point is longer than the distance between the inner surface brushed by the utmost protrudent point and its opposite inner surface of the pivotal hole.

  • Patent number: 7322831
Abstract: A matrix board-to-board connector includes a plurality of contacts and an insulating housing. Each contact has a retaining board, a first contacting portion defined at a bottom end of the retaining board, and a second contacting portion defined at an opposite end of the retaining board. The second contacting portion spirals up and defines a second pressing portion at the top end. A plurality of receiving cavities are formed in the insulating housing for receiving the contacts. The first contacting portion of the connector is connected to the lower circuit board by soldering. The second contacting portion elastically presses the upper circuit board to ensure a firm electrical connection between the upper circuit board and the lower circuit board.

  • Patent number: 7287988
Abstract: A board-to-board connector according to the present invention includes an insulating housing and a plurality of terminals. The insulating housing has a plurality of terminal grooves, and the electric terminals are accommodated in the terminal grooves. A second receiving portion locates outside the sidewall for accommodating a branch, which is arranged in a base part of the terminal upwardly. Further, the base part protrudes a welding part downwardly exploded outside. When the board-to-board connector is soldered to a printed circuit board, the superfluous tin is guided to the branch and. So that it prevents the superfluous tin from flowing into the contact area of the terminal.

  • Patent number: 7270550
Abstract: A board to board connector includes a dielectric housing and a plurality of terminals. The dielectric housing has an upper surface, a bottom surface and a plurality of terminal passages which pass through the upper surface and the bottom surface. Each terminal is received in each terminal passage respectively. Each terminal has a fixed holding portion. A compressed portion extends from the lower end of the fixed holding portion. The compressed portion has a second contact portion protrudes out from the bottom surface of the dielectric housing. A winding portion extends from the upper end of the fixed holding portion. A first contact portion extends from the top of the winding portion and protrudes out from the upper surface of the dielectric housing. The board to board connector utilizes the elastic force which is supplied by the compressed portion and the winding portion to ensure the terminals contact printed circuit boards stably so as to assure the transmitting of the signal is stably.
