  • Patent number: 6320746
Abstract: A heat sink system assembled within a computer enclosure for dissipating heat away from a heat generating element includes a fan duct, a heat pipe and a fan. The computer enclosure forms an opening. The fan duct is a square hollow shell attached to the computer enclosure, with a surface thereof coupled to the computer enclosure. A first hole is defined in the surface of the fan duct in communication with the opening, thereby communicating with an exterior of the computer enclosure. A second hole is defined in another surface of the fan duct in communication with an interior of the computer enclosure. The heat pipe includes a main body and two attaching portions at opposite ends thereof for being respectively attached to the heat generating element and the fan duct. The main body has a conductive material disposed therein. The fan is assembled within the first hole.

  • Patent number: 6311765
Abstract: A heat sink assembly includes a heat sink, a clip and a fastener. The heat sink includes a base and a plurality of fins extending upwardly from the base. A slot is defined between the fins. Grooves are defined on opposite sides of a particular row of the fins. The clip defines a spring portion received in the slot of the heat sink. The curved fastener forms a pair of projections with a gap defined therebetween extending inwardly from both ends of the fastener for engaging the corresponding grooves of the heat sink. A tab is defined on one side of the fastener for engagement with an edge of one of the fins.

  • Publication number: 20010030853
Abstract: A heat sink assembly for an electrical socket of the present invention comprises a heat sink and a latching member latching with a pair of lugs on the socket. The heat sink comprises a base plate and a plurality of fins projecting upward therefrom. A receiving channel is integrally formed between the fins in the base plate for receiving the latching member. A pair of positioning tabs depends downward from a bottom surface of the base plate to tightly engage in a slit between the electric socket and a CPU mounted thereon for positioning the heat sink assembly on the CPU and keeping it from moving along the CPU. The receiving channel and the fins extend in a first direction while the tabs extend in a second direction vertical to the first direction.

  • Patent number: 5879228
Abstract: A pneumatic grinding/polishing machine is disclosed. It includes a fixed upper casing, a lower casing, an annular wall, an upper sealing member, a lower sealing member, a rotor, multiple vanes, a central shaft assembly and a grinding tray assembly. An inlet port of the annular wall is disposed above an outlet port and the inlet port and the outlet port are isolated from each other by a middle stopper ring. The upper sealing member has an upper stopper ring and an upper cover body. The lower sealing member has a lower stopper ring and a lower cover body. A dustproof sheath is disposed around the second bearing for preventing the splashing dusts from contacting with the second bearing. Therefore, this invention is easy to assemble and manufacture, no leakage, long using life.

  • Patent number: 5419358
Abstract: A gas monitoring system for use with a gas-fired boiler in a house or the like. The boiler is supplied with flammable gas. The system comprises a transducer, a visible and audible alarm circuit, a digital access terminal, an exhaust fan, and alarm systems, which may be audible or visual. Leaked gas is detected by a gas transducer which produces a voltage indicative of the presence of gas. An electronic circuit, which comprises a comparator, buffer, and power transistor, receives the voltages from the transducer and, when a predetermined level of voltage is received, turns on and closes two switches. One switch enables an audio alarm and provides power to a second switch. The second switch, when closed, joins a source of power to a visual alarm (a bulb), turns on an exhaust fan, and closes a normally open solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is in the gas-conveying conduit. Closing the valve shuts off the unwanted flow of gas. The first switch is provided with a manual reset switch for resetting the system.

  • Patent number: 5125250
Abstract: A bloom is heated and rolled by the flying shear system so as to produce a semi-finish rolled billet having a reduced cross section. A CLSI value, which is indicative of the uniform length of each of a number of product billets that can be cut from the length of the semi-finish rolled billet while maintaining predetermined optimum head and tail scrap lengths, is then calculated by the flying shear system. The cross section of the semi-finish rolled billet is corrected, so as to produce a finish rolled billet having an adjusted length, when the CLSI value is not within a safety billet length range, to thereby obtain a new CLSI value that falls within the safety billet length range. A flying shear cuts the semi-finish rolled billet or the finish rolled billet into the number of product billets when the CLSI value is within the safety billet length range.
