Abstract: A method for exchanging data includes generating a usage indicator for an access window, the usage indicator including a first indication of if an allowed station in a list of allowed stations needs to receive information about its resource allocation and at least one of a second indication of a start time of the access window, and a third indication of the list of allowed stations, and broadcasting the usage indicator. The method also includes exchanging data with at least one of the allowed stations within the access window in accordance with the usage indicator.

Abstract: An excellent polymer electrolyte composition has excellent chemical stability of being resistant to strong oxidizing atmosphere during operation of fuel cell, and achieves excellent proton conductivity under low-humidification conditions, excellent mechanical strength and physical durability. A polymer electrolyte membrane, a membrane electrode assembly, and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell each use the same. The polymer electrolyte composition contains an ionic group-containing polymer (A), a phosphorus-containing additive (B), and a nitrogen-containing aromatic additive (C), the phosphorus-containing additive (B) and the nitrogen-containing aromatic additive (C) being a compound represented by specific structural formulae.

Abstract: Improved additives can be used to prepare polymer electrolyte for membrane electrode assemblies in polymer electrolyte fuel cells. Use of these improved additives can not only improve durability and performance, but can also provide a marked performance improvement during initial conditioning of the fuel cells. The additives are chemical complexes comprising certain metal and organic ligand components.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided for indicating response frame types according to response frame durations in a wireless network. The embodiments include defining a plurality of response frame types in accordance to different transmission durations. The different response frame types are assigned corresponding indication values. When transmitting a current frame to a receiver entity, a transmitter entity selects a response frame type from the defined response frame types, and indicates in the current frame the selected response frame type using the assigned indication value. When a third entity receives the current frame, the third entity waits for a time period about equal to a predefined inter-frame and backoff time before transmitting a new frame. Upon determining that the indication value in the current frame is for sending a response frame, the third entity also waits an additional time period about equal to the transmission duration of the indicated response frame type.

Abstract: A method for operating a first station configured to transmit data includes transmitting during a paging window, a first frame to page a second station, the first frame including an identifier associated with the second station, and generating a second frame including first timing information for a first time period to be subscribed by the first station for transmitting data to the second station, the first time period occurring after the paging window. When a third frame is received after a pre-specified short interval after transmitting the first frame, the third frame acknowledging the first frame, the method includes transmitting the second frame after the pre-specified short interval after receiving the third frame, and transmitting the data during the first time period.

A communications controller includes a communications control unit, a bearer control unit coupled to the communications control unit, and a mapping unit coupled to the bearer control unit. The communications control unit manages resources and schedules transmission opportunities, the bearer control unit manages radio bearers for relay nodes coupled to the communications controller, and the mapping unit provides a mapping of user bearers to radio bearers.
