  • Publication number: 20070134179
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a colored bright pigment which is to be incorporated into a coating material, a resin composition, an ink, a cosmetic and the like, and exhibits not only high transparency and brightness but also high chroma and clear color. The colored bright pigment is characterized in that it comprises scaly glass flakes on the surface of which a silica-based coating film containing an organic pigment is coated. It is preferred that a titanium oxide or a metal is coated on the surface of the scaly glass flakes and the silica-based coating film is further coated thereon. The above colored bright pigment is used after being incorporated into a coating material, a resin composition, an ink, a cosmetic or the like.

  • Patent number: 7144055
Abstract: A vehicle body frontal structure includes a bumper face extending in a widthwise direction of a vehicle, a bumper beam disposed behind the bumper face and extending in the widthwise direction of the vehicle; and an energy absorbing member disposed between the bumper face and the bumper beam, formed in a hollow cross sectional shape of which a rear portion is left open, and having an open edge portion that is joined to the bumper beam, so as to deform and absorb collision energy when the collision energy in a rearwards direction of the vehicle is applied to the bumper face. The open edge portion includes cutaway portions which leave portions of the open edge portion as joining leg portions to the bumper beam, and the joining leg portions are provided with deformation guide portions which, in the initial period of deformation by the collision energy, cause the open edge portion to tilt in a predetermined direction.

  • Patent number: 6960153
Abstract: A clutch engagement control device controls the engagement of a forward clutch (32) and reverse clutch (33) in an automatic transmission connected to an engine (70) in a vehicle. An inhibitor switch (56) outputs a range signal in accordance with a position range of a select lever (51). A manual valve (57) supplies oil pressure selectively to one of the forward clutch (32) and the reverse clutch (33) by changing position in accordance with the position range of the select lever (51). A controller (60) of the clutch engagement control device determines whether an unmatching range condition occurs in which the range of the select lever (51) indicated by the range signal and the range of the manual valve (57) do not match, when the range of the select lever (51) indicated by the range signal is a drive range or reverse range; and suppress an increase in engine rotation speed prior to engagement of the forward clutch or reverse clutch when the unmatching range condition occurs.

  • Publication number: 20050085171
Abstract: A flat-object holder can hold a flat object-and-frame assembly, and the holder has the flat object fixed to the frame with protection tape. The flat-object holder includes at least a flat object supporting area for fixedly holding the flat object via the protection tape by applying a suction force, and a frame fixing area for fastening the frame. The flat-object holder bearing the flat object-and-frame assembly can be fixedly held by a selected chuck table by applying a negative pressure to the flat object supporting area. The flat-object holder can transfer and put the flat object-and-frame assembly in a container. Thus, no matter how thin the flat object may be, it can be handled without the fear of breaking.

  • Publication number: 20040097053
Abstract: A grinder composed of at least a chuck table (17) having a suction region (1) and a frame (2) and grinding means (30) for grinding a semiconductor wafer (W) held on the chuck table (17) is used. When a semiconductor wafer (W) having an outside diameter Dl smaller than that of the suction region (1) is ground, a semiconductor wafer (W) protective member (3) having an outside diameter D3 larger than the outside diameter Dl of the semiconductor wafer and larger than the diameter D2 of the suction region (1) is stuck on the side not to be ground of the semiconductor wafer (W). The whole surface of the semiconductor wafer (W) is held on the suction region (1), with the semiconductor wafer protective member (3) down. The exposed surface of the held semiconductor wafer (W) is ground by the grinding means (30). Thus the edge of the semiconductor wafer (W) is prevented from breaking, chipping and cracking.
