  • Publication number: 20100177588
Abstract: A calibration circuit includes replica buffers that have a substantially same circuit configuration as at least a part of an output buffer, an oscillator circuit that generates an internal clock in response to issuance of a calibration command, and a control circuit that controls an impedance of the replica buffers in synchronization with the internal clock. According to the present invention, because a calibration operation that does not depend on an external clock is performed, even when a frequency of the external clock is changed according to an operation mode or the like, it is possible to maintain a constant period of time given to a single adjustment step or a constant time required for a series of calibration operations.

  • Publication number: 20100082137
Abstract: A server of a content output system acquires a user parameter registration information including a user name of a display and a title of a request content. When an image-quality and sound-quality optimum parameter is included, the server acquires the image-quality and sound-quality optimum parameter as a user's user setting information. When the server cannot acquire the user's user setting information, the server retrieves a user parameter registration information including a user name of another person and the title of the request content.

  • Patent number: 7649438
Abstract: A positive temperature coefficient thermistor device includes a laminate of a lower insulating plate, a positive temperature coefficient thermistor element, and terminal assemblies. The laminate is disposed in a hollow portion in a metal body. The device also includes a pressure spring made of a metal plate that is bent such that the cross-sectional shape thereof in a plane substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal direction thereof is substantially constant. The pressure spring is disposed between the top surface of the hollow portion and the terminal assembly adjacent to the top surface of the hollow portion such that the pressure spring and the laminate are resiliently supported inside the hollow portion. With this structure, the pressure spring can be easily inserted without damaging electrodes of the positive temperature coefficient thermistor element, and an insulator can be easily arranged without damaging the insulator.

  • Patent number: 7550950
Abstract: A battery pack includes a first switching element which shuts off a discharging current flowing to a battery cell and a second switching element which shuts off a charging current. A positive temperature coefficient thermistor is inserted between a gate control terminal of a protective control circuit and a gate of at least one of the switching elements, and a resistor is connected between the gate and a source of the switching element. The positive temperature coefficient thermistor is thermally connected to one or more of the first and second switching elements and/or to the battery cell. Thus, an abnormally overheated state of one or more of the switching elements or the battery cell leads to an increase in the resistance of the positive temperature coefficient thermistor causing shut-off of the switching element thereby protecting the battery pack.
