    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for millimeter wave (mmWave) link beam failure recovery. A wireless multi-link device (MLD), such as a non-AP MLD, establishes mmWave link and a non-mmWave link with a second wireless MLD. Upon detecting a beam failure of the mmWave link, the wireless MLD transmits, via the non-mmWave link, an indication of the beam failure which may also include a request frame for a candidate beam training procedure to be initiated by the second wireless MLD. In response, the wireless MLD receives, via the mmWave link, candidate beam training packets from the second wireless MLD. The wireless MLD further transmits, via the non-mmWave link, beam training feedback information regarding the candidate beam training packets. In an example, a new Tx beam (e.g., a Tx beam with a highest received signal strength) is selected for maintaining the mmWave link.

    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may address the problem of missing blood glucose concentration readings from a glucose monitor that transmits blood glucose concentration readings over a wireless connection due to problems with the wireless connection. In the exemplary embodiments, an automated insulin delivery (AID) device uses an estimate in place of a missing blood glucose concentration reading in determining a predicted future blood glucose concentration reading for a user. Thus, the AID device is able to operate normally in generating insulin delivery settings despite not receiving a current blood glucose concentration reading for a current cycle. There is no need to suspend delivery of insulin to the user due to the missing blood glucose concentration reading.

    Abstract: In various example embodiments, techniques are provided for detecting surface corrosion on infrastructure. A training dataset that includes images of infrastructure that have at least some surface corrosion is received. A red-green-blue (RGB) color channel-based classifier is optimized, wherein the optimizing selects one or more color indices for pixels and determines one or more bounds for each of the selected color indices that indicate a pixel is a corrosion pixel or non-corrosion pixel. The optimized RGB color channel-based classifier is applied to the images to label corrosion segments in the images and produce a labeled training dataset with labeled corrosion segments. The labeled training dataset is used to train a semantic deep learning model to enable the semantic deep learning model to detect corrosion segments.

    Abstract: The present application provides a preparation method for a thermally expandable microsphere containing hydrophilic organic-modified colloidal silicon dioxide. In the preparation method, hydrophilic organic-modified colloidal silicon dioxide is mixed with a mixture of a monomer material capable of polymerizing to form a thermoplastic polymer shell and at least one foaming agent to form an emulsion, and the emulsion is polymerized to form the thermally expandable microsphere. Surface-modified colloidal silicon dioxide with hydrophilic organic group in the present application has good salt tolerance stability, can be stabilized in brine and is beneficial to the preparation of the thermally expandable microsphere; and the prepared microsphere has a narrow particle size distribution, can be easily dispersed in water and an organic system, and has good wettability. The application also relates to a thermally expandable microsphere and use thereof.

Battery modules having formed-in-place thermal-management components, made from flowable material, that during use of the battery modules functions to conduct heat from battery cores inside the battery modules to heat sinks located outside the battery modules.
