Abstract: An application server supports mobile users in a wireless communication system. The application server includes a rule manager and a group controller. The rule manager obtains predefined rules that govern dynamic formation of logical mobile user groups which are hierarchically related to one another through parent-child relationships. In this regard, the predefined rules particularly establish conditions for child group formation and criteria for child group membership. The group controller dynamically forms child groups in accordance with these predefined rules. Specifically, the group controller dynamically forms any given child group from a member of a corresponding parent group to also include one or more other mobile users meeting criteria for membership in that child group, responsive to determining that conditions for forming the child group have been fulfilled.

Abstract: An instant messaging service is provided using short message service (SMS) messages as the underlying transport layer. A user having a phone associated with an MSISDN can use a client to generate messages that are then transmitted as if they originated from the phone. The SMS message is delivered to the second party's phone as per a normal SMS message. If the second party is also using a client, the client can retrieve messages addressed to the second party's MSISDN even though client does not need to be associated with the MSISDN. The use of SMS messages provides for a persistent and reliable transport layer, and also allows for fall back to SMS messaging for either party independently.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for redistributing the license tokens to the traffic nodes to make the license tokens can be efficiently distributed to the traffic node. The method including: collecting usage information of each of the traffic nodes; determining a set of license tokens for each of the traffic nodes; and commanding a first group of traffic node(s) to release license tokens and commanding a second group of traffic node(s) to request license tokens based on the usage information and the set of license tokens. A moderator, used in a license controlling system which can efficiently redistribute the license tokens among the traffic nodes, is provided and a controlling system which including this moderator is also provided.

Abstract: A messaging center (e.g. SMS, MMS, IM, email center), User Equipment (UE) and methods are provided to facilitate delivery of messages to recipients in the language used by those recipients. A message written in a first language is first delivered to a recipient, optionally including a delivery report request. The recipient's UE determines if proper message delivery took place based, for example, on a match between the first language (and/or it character set) and a second language (and/or its character set) used by the recipient's UE. In case of a mismatch, the recipient's UE sends back to the messaging center an improper delivery report optionally including an indication of the second language (and/or character set). The messaging center determines the second language based on the indication or via other means, translates the message into the second language, and re-sends it to the recipient's UE.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide for providing a plurality of information to a caller associated with a call to a service provider. The method includes: receiving, from the caller, the voice call to the service provider; determining that the voice call cannot be answered; responsive to the determination that the voice call cannot be answered, retrieving a first information from a web service associated with the service provider; and transmitting the first information to the caller.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments describe systems and methods which provide for conversion of a text message into multiple voices. An end user is able to select different voices for translating different portions of a text message. The voices can be selected from among the end user's contacts. Translation from text to voice can be performed locally, i.e., in the end user's terminal device, or in the network.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for redistributing license tokens for a service to license servers across a cloud computing environment. The method comprises the steps of acquiring current license tokens information of the license servers for the service, detecting a need for redistribution of the license tokens to the license servers and redistributing the license tokens to the license servers across the cloud computing environment according to the need for redistribution and according to the current license tokens information of the license servers for the service.

Abstract: A method and an Event Tracking System (ETS) are provided for group communications. The method allows subscribing with an Event Organizing System (EOS) for updates to a group event instance comprising a group of users and an event related to the group, e.g. a hockey match. The method further allows receiving from users subscriptions to the updates of the group event instance. Responsive to subscribing with the EOS for the updates to the group event instance, the ETS receives from the EOS an update notification related to the group event instance notifying of a group event update (e.g. an update of the group membership and/or of the event), and responsive to the user subscriptions with the ETS, the later sends out an update notification message to each one of the users notifying of the group event update. In one embodiment, the update notifications sent out to users are personalised, e.g. based on the user's location or advertisement preferences.

Abstract: A method and an Application Server for enabling a non-SIP device to use a SIP service are described. The method is executed in an Application Server and comprises the steps of receiving a request for a SIP service from a non-SIP device. The method comprises retrieving a contact card corresponding to the non-SIP device from a Contact Server, the contact card containing at least one identity. The method also comprises inserting the at least one identity retrieved from the contact card in the request for the SIP service and forwarding the request for the SIP Service to the Service Server.

Abstract: A method for provisioning services to a subscriber comprises: receiving an indication of use of a first service by the subscriber; and upon receipt of the indication, checking if an account of the subscriber comprises a sufficient number of credits for allowing the subscriber to use the first service; if the number of credits is not sufficient, pushing a second service to the subscriber according to a predetermined contract between the subscriber and a network operator so as to increment the number of credits in the account for allowing the first service to proceed. A network node, for carrying out this method, comprises a processor for receiving the indication of use of the first service and a service function to check the number of credits in the account and to push the second service if the number of credits is not sufficient in the account.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for distributing events among a set of traffic processor in a telecommunication network. The methods and apparatus determines a traffic processor from the set of traffic processors with the lowest traffic load, the traffic load is determined for each traffic processor of the set of traffic processors based on a weighting factor, an event queue length of a traffic processors and a current traffic load. Events are re-distributed when a change occurs in the set of traffic processors. The re-distribution is based on a determination of an allowable event queue length for each traffic processor of the set of traffic processors, which is based on the current traffic load, an optimal traffic load and a maximum event queue length.

Abstract: A node and method for temporarily sharing personal information, in a communication network, between at least first and second nodes comprise establishing a communication session, through a session module, between the at least first and second nodes; receiving a permission to access the personal information, through a permission module; and retrieving the personal information upon receiving the access permission, through an information module. Also, prior to establishment of the communication session, the at least first and second nodes have no authorization relationship established therebetween and when the established communication session is terminated, the access permission to the personal information is also terminated.

The method comprises the steps of receiving an incoming message, the message comprising a community identifier (ID). Abstract: A method and communication server for mapping an address to a service capability, wherein a server determines if a service requested in a service request, such as for example in a SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) INVITE message, can be initiated with a first user identifier. The server further determines an alternate user identifier when determined that the service cannot be initiated with the first user identifier replaces the first user identifier with the alternate user identifier in the request for the service, so that the requested service can be successfully established.

Abstract: There are provided methods, a presence server, a User Equipment (UE), and a presence message in the form of a computer data signal embodied in a transmission medium for notifying about a second identity assignment to the UE. The second user identity is obtained from a network and stored. The first identity may be an MSISDN assigned by a first network, while the second identity may comprise another MSISDN and/or a SIP URI assigned by another network, e.g. by an IMS network for use in obtaining IMS services. Abstract: Methods and systems for license control associated with telecommunication services are described. An incoming service request can be selectively processed without first checking for license compliance. For example, an incoming request can first be served and then subsequently license compliance can be checked. Periodically, a license server can replenish its license tokens for the service. If a request for license tokens is under fulfilled, then subsequent incoming service requests can be checked for license compliance before the communication service is provided.
