SAFETY DEVICE FOR THE FRAME OF A PLAYPEN

The present invention “safety device for baby's game-bed” includes a safety device installed between the stand and the joint of the game-bed. The safety device consists of a pressure-board and the elastic components installed inside the stands. When the pressure-board is not pressed, the projecting blocking-object of the elastic component forces the stand and the joint to lock together. When user presses the pressure-board, the stand bends against the joint. The safety device of present invention is designed to prevent babies from folding the game-beds carelessly, thereby prevents accidents from happening and upgrades safety for babies.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a baby's game-bed equipped with a safety device for its stand. To fold the stand, users need to press the pressure-board first; so babies cannot fold the stand by themselves. The present invention is designed for babies' safety.

[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0004] The present invention relates to a “safety device for the stand of baby's game-bed”, referring to a safety device for folding the stand of baby's game-bed.

[0005] The present invention includes a pressure-board with two pieces of elastic components on both ends. When the pressure-board is not pressed, the projected objects on the elastic components force the stand and the joint to lock together. When user presses the pressure-board, the stand bend toward the joint, then the bed will be folded.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The conventional baby's game-bed is designed in such away that users may change the angles between the stand and the joint to fold the bed. The design is straightforward and the bed is easy to operate, but can be extremely dangerous. When kids imitate the adults' motion to fold the bed out of curiosity, their fingers can be jammed easily. The bed may fall down as kids try to fold the stand while they are on the bed.

[0007] The inventor studied very hard to improve the safety of game-bed. Finally he presents his invention, and believes that his invention can upgrade the safety for baby's game-beds.

[0008] The present invention will be apparent in its contents of technique after reading the detailed description of the preferred embodiments of the present invention in reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein:

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0009] FIG. 1 is a stereoscopic drawing of present invention;

[0010] FIG. 2 shows the external view of present invention;

[0011] FIG. 3 is a section view showing the motion of present invention;

[0012] FIG. 4 is a schematic drawing showing the motion of the present invention;

[0013] FIG. 5 is another schematic sectional view showing another motion of present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0014] As shown by FIG. 1, FIG. 2, and FIG. 3, the baby's game-bed 1 consists of several stands 11 surrounding it. There is a joint 2 between the adjacent stands. Inside the joint 2 is a hollow space 21 with a slot 22 on its inner side. On both sides of the slot 22 are a hole 26 and a rivet hole 25.

[0015] There are two stands 11 installed in both ends of the joint 2, respectively. On the stand are a rivet hole 12 and a hole 13. Inside the stand 11 is the first elastic component 4. The elastic component 4 slightly resembles “>” shape with a projecting blocking object 41 on one inner side. There is a pressure-object 43 on the external side of the blocking object 41. On the other side of first elastic component 4 is a projecting board 42. The first elastic component 4 is placed in the stand 11. The blocking object 41 projects through the hole 13 of the stand 11.

[0016] There is a second elastic component 5 in the joint 2. The second elastic component 5 slightly resembles “U” shape with its front end close to the slot 22. Outside the slot 22 is a pressure-board 3. There is a pushing-object 31 inside the pressure-board 3. Between the pressure-board 3 and the second elastic component 5 is a positioning-object 6. User may connect the second elastic component 5, positioning-object 6, and pressure-board 3 together by a screw 51.

[0017] Then user may place a rivet 23 between the rivet hole 12 of the stand 11 and the rivet hole 25 of the joint 2 to lock these two objects.

[0018] When two stands 11 are placed on both sides of the joint 2, the baby's game-bed 1 is unfolded. User may block the hole 26 of the joint 2 by the blocking-object 41 of the first elastic component 4 of the stand 11 in order to lock the joint 2 and stand 11 together, so the bed cannot be folded. If user desires to fold the game-bed, all he has to do is to press the pressure-board 3 as shown by FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, then the pressure-board 3 will be forced to push inward against the second elastic component 5 and, consequently, the pressure-board 3 presses the pressure-object 43 of the first elastic component 4 to move inward. The first elastic component 4 moves inward simultaneously. Then the block-object 41 moves inward and away from the hole 13. That's how the stand 11 is enabled to rotate around the rivet 23 and against the joint 2. Then the bed is folded.

[0019] When user stops pressing the pressure-board 3, the elasticity generated by the second elastic component 5 allows the pressure-board 3 to bounce back to its original position.

[0020] The inventor has no intention to limit his invention to the procedures stated in the preceding example. In fact, the design allows certain variations in regard to the shape of products and steps. Nevertheless, all variations need to follow the principles described in present invention, and only those who are familiar with this skill can master the design of present invention.

[0021] As indicated by the preceding statement, the present invention “safety device for the stand of baby's game-bed” is an invention of breakthrough in regard to safety and performance. The safety device eliminates the unexpected dangers taking place in folding the beds. Compared with the conventional game-beds, the present invention works much better in regard to safety and protection. The present invention is highly valuable, and has never been publicized or disclosed in any domestic/overseas documents and markets. Therefore, the present invention meets the requirements of patent application. The inventor hereby prays for a fair review of his invention, and appreciates every effort in this regard.

[0022] Having thus described the invention, what the inventor claims as new and desires to be secured by US Patent & Trademark Office include:
