BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0004] This invention is in the general field of the cleaning of clothing, textiles, fabrics and similar articles. Articles to be cleaned are placed in a drum to be washed. After completion of the washing cycle, draining cycle and extraction cycle, the articles are then dried without being removed from the drum. The system proposed by applicants would employ dry to dry wet cleaning technology utilizing distilled water, ionized air and ionized water in a system to remove stains, dirt, grease, body oils and/or other contaminants from the articles to be cleaned.

[0005] To the best of our knowledge, this process applied for with this patent is not based on any other specific documents which are related to this process. The process applied for in this application modifies existing cleaning technology with the use of distilled water, ionized air and ionized water to improve existing technology for the cleaning of fabrics.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The general idea of the proposed invention is the use of distilled water, ionized water and ionized air in a contained cleaning system, for use in commercial and non-commercial washers and driers. The use of distilled water, and ionized air and water, would result in the reduction in the amount of water usage, and additives necessary for the cleaning process. It would also serve to reduce the damage to garments and fabrics through mechanical action, heat and the normal stresses on fabrics involved with the cleaning process.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The system proposed by the applicants would employ a standard cleaning machine, but would make additions and improvements in the washing and drying cycles of existing cleaning machinery with the addition of tanks containing distilled water, ionized air and ionized water so as to remove pollutants, reduce the shrinkage of fabrics, eliminate unwanted substances contained in outside water sources, and increase the productivity and durability of cleaning machinery by the prevention of scaling within the piping and tubing of cleaning machines.

[0009] The process is distinguished from other inventions in the use of distilled water, ionized air and ionized water in a self-contained system for the cleaning of fabrics. The benefits to the fabrics and garments would be the reduction of shrinkage, the elimination of cleaning residue on the fabric, and the reduction of stress on the fabric during the cleaning process.

[0010] The environmental benefits as opposed to existing technology is that water usage would be reduced, and no chemical by-products of the cleaning process would be discharged into the environment.

[0011] The specific application of the proposed system in the washing and drying cycles are as follows:

Washing Cycle

[0012] 1. An external tank attached to a cleaning system would be used to thoroughly mix distilled water and any additives required for the cleaning process prior to the insertion of this solution into the washing drum. This eliminates the need of outside water usage.

[0013] 2. All water used during the cleaning process is recycled by distillation and stored in a tank from which all contaminants and chemical residue are removed.

[0014] 3. Ionized water is then introduced into the drum to break down water molecules.

[0015] 4. Ultra-sonic micro bubbles are then introduced into the drum to separate dirt and contaminants from the fabric.

[0016] 5. The distilled water and any additives are continuously circulated and filtered throughout the washing cycle to its conclusion wherein the drum is then converted to the drying cycle.

Drying Cycle

[0017] 1. Ionized air is introduced into the hot air cycle to neutralize and remove all moisture, residue and contaminants remaining on the fabric. The use of ionized air reduces the amount of heat and mechanical action required to dry the fabric, thereby further reducing the drying time, energy and stress on the fabric.

Claims

1. Tanks containing distilled water, ionized water and ionized air in a system would be used to clean fabrics, without the discharge of pollutants into the environment.

2. All water used during the cleaning procedure is recycled in a distillation tank where contaminants such as dirt, oils, and chemical residue are removed with the water then being recycled back into the system.
