Cyclonic rotor
A cyclonic rotor is a arm muscle trainer, comprising a semicircular shield and a rolling ball, where the round shield is composed of an outer shield and inner shield. These two shields are superposed and expanded conically downward with a larger space at the bottom to contain a rolling ball. In the interior of the semicircular shields, there are two lock ears to be inserted into the T-type channel on the handle. The lock ears and the handle are fastened firmly together by two outer screws which come from the exterior of the semicircular shields. While holding the handle, waving the rotor, the ball rolls within the hollow space. If waving slowly, the ball rolls slowly; if waving fiercely, the ball rolls fast and violently and continues self-rolling with centrifugal and inertia force and effects vigorous training on arm muscle.

[0001] This invention relates to a cyclonic rotor designed with simplified construction to produce an inertia swivel movement conducive to the training of the arm muscle.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0002] Presently the leisure activities are numerous and the sports materials that are available either in the gymnasium or in houses are very popular, good for the public to promote healthcare in the leisure time. However, most sports materials are designed with complicated structure and bulky in volume, not easy for handling, requiring spacious storage room, not becoming available at the exact time when the player wants to play.
[0003] In addition, most people are busy in business, less and less time available for outdoor sports and gymnasium, for this reason, the inventor has devoted great efforts for years to the professional research and development and eventually come up with this cyclonic rotor.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION[0004] The main object of the invention is to provide a cyclonic rotor with compact design, easy for carrying with and easy for operation, permitting the player to practice optionally as he wishes in his leisure time. When the player holds the rotor, waves and circles along an orbit, the ball rolls cyclonically in the hollow space and continues self-rotation by dint of centrifugal and inertia force which effect a powerful training on the arm muscle.
[0005] The objects, technique and features of the invention are explained in great detail with the aid of preferable embodiments as illustrated in the attached drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS[0006] FIG. 1 is a stereo outlook of a cyclonic rotor of the invention.
[0007] FIG. 2 is a stereo outlook of a cyclonic rotor of the invention viewed from the other angle.
[0008] FIG. 3 is a disassembly of a cyclonic rotor of the invention.
[0009] FIG. 4 is an enlargement of partial disassembly of a cyclonic rotor of the invention.
[0010] FIG. 5 is a cross-section of a cyclonic rotor of the invention.
[0011] FIG. 6 is another embodiment of a cyclonic rotor of the invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION[0012] As shown in FIGS. 1 through 3, the cyclonic rotor of the invention comprises a semicircular shield 1, a handle 2 and a rolling ball 3. The semicircular shield 1 constitutes an outer semicircular shield 11 and an inner semicircular shield 12. The outer semicircular shield 11 and the inner semicircular shield 12 are superposed to form a hollow space in-between for containing the rolling ball 3.
[0013] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the outer semicircular shield 11 has a flat facet 113 and a plurality of slot 112 with indentation 1121 along the rim 111. Similarly, the inner semicircular shield 12 also has a flat facet 123 and a plurality of lock ears 122 along the rim 121. While the outer semicircular shield 11 and the inner semicircular shield 12 are superposed and the outer semicircular shield 11 is turned counter-clockwise, the lock ear 122 will inset into indentation 1121 of the slot 112. After the flat facet 113 of the outer semicircular shield 11 is aligned with the flat facet 123 of the inner semicircular shield 12, the bolt 114 will go through the outer semicircular shield 11 and the inner semicircular shield 12 to tighten two shields together with the nut 115 in the hex recess of the flat facet 123.
[0014] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, there are two lock ears 13 in the inner semicircular shield 12 and a handle 2 with a T-type channel 21 at both ends to receive the lock ear 13. A bolt 14 will hold the lock ear 13 and the handle 2 together. While holding the handle 2 and waving the semicircular shield 1, the rolling ball 3 rolls in the hollow space 15. If waving slowly, the rolling ball 3 rolls slowly; if waving fiercely, the rolling ball 3 rolls violently with fast and centrifugal movement.
[0015] Since the hollow space 15 is designed with small diameter at the top and large diameter at the bottom of the semicircular shield 1, the rolling ball 3 is forced to roll cyclonically by the centrifugal force and kept self-rotating by inertia force so as to effect an effective training on the arm muscle.
[0016] FIG. 6 shows another embodiment of the invention where the semicircular shield 1′ is fabricated by extrusion method containing a hollow space 11′. The semicircular shield 1′ provides two protruded bars 12′. Nearby the protruded bar 12′, an opening 13′ with larger diameter than the rolling ball 3′ allows passing the rolling ball 3′ into the hollow space 11′. The handle 2′ is integrated with a similar semicircular shield 21′ which has the slots 211′ to receive the protruded bar 12′ on the semicircular shield 1′. A bolt 14′ holds two semicircular shields 1′ and 21″ together and fastened by a nut 15′.
