Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention is related to an improved structure of an academic cap, and especially to an academic cap capable of convenient storing as well as adjustment of the size of the cap, thereby a user can store and use it conveniently.

[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0004] Caps are finely divided into many sorts and types, most caps are used mainly for the purpose of sun shading, among them academic caps (for bachelors or masters) are required to be worn on by the graduates for taking photos and graduation exercises. The structure of an academic cap (referring to FIG. 1) is mainly comprised of a crown A for wearing of a user and being provided with a shading panel B; wherein the size of the crown A is fixed in manufacturing and is unable to be adjusted, so that a manufacturer must prepare crowns of various sizes for user's selections, every user will try wearing one by one to select a crown of suitable size for him. This kind of academic cap unable for adjusting the size of crown is quite inconvenient for the manufacturer and the users to manufacture, pick as well as wear.

[0005] Moreover, by the fact that such an academic cap has overly large distances from the shading panel B thereof to the eyes of a user, and the area of the shading panel B is unable to appropriately shade the sunshine, the structure of it thereby needs to be improved.

[0006] Further, when in storing such an academic cap, by virtue that it is unable to be folded, the space for storing is relatively larger, thus makes inconvenience of storing. Therefore, the problem long existing of the stated academic caps is necessary to be solved.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] In accordance with the above stated, the inventor develops the improved structure of an academic cap of the present invention in view of the inconvenience of quite a degree in manufacturing, picking, wearing as well as storing, and the inability of providing the effect of sun shading based on his professional experience of years in studying, designing and manufacturing same kind of products and after hard study, correcting, repeated experiments and tests. The present invention can get rid of the defects resided in the above stated academic caps, and also makes difference from normal academic caps to suit the cases out of the school campuses, and to suit the marketing fashions in the society.

[0008] In particular, the present invention mainly has a shading panel provided on a crown for wearing. A brim or peak is provided at an appropriate position on the external periphery of the crown; the brim or peak can be collapsed and received in the crown. The shading panel is made from a board coated with cloth, and is provided thereon with a folding means. The crown is provided at an appropriate position on the bottom thereof with an adjustment means to adjust the size of the crown.

[0009] The primary object of the present invention is to provide an academic cap with a brim or peak provided at an appropriate position on the external periphery of the crown of the academic cap.

[0010] The secondary object of the present invention is to provide an academic cap of which a folding means is provided on the shading panel to make the academic cap foldable to increase its convenience in storing.

[0011] Another object of the present invention is to provide an academic cap of which an adjustment means is provided on the bottom of the crown to allow a user to adjust to a desired size of the crown.

[0012] The present invention will be apparent in its structure as well as the way of use after reading the detailed description of the preferred embodiments thereof in reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0017] FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of folding means of the present invention;

[0018] FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing a further embodiment of folding means of the present invention;

[0019] FIG. 7 is a perspective schematic view showing the structure of an adjustment means of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0020] Referring firstly to FIGS. 2 and 3, the academic cap of the present invention mainly has a shading panel 20 provided on a crown 10. A brim or peak 30 is provided at an appropriate position on the external periphery of the crown 10; the brim or peak 30 can be in the shape of a peak as that of a baseball cap or a brim of a fisherman's hat for the purpose of sun shading.

[0021] Referring to FIGS. 4, 5, and 6, wherein it is depicted that the shading panel 20 is made from a board 21 coated with cloth 22; the board 21 is a heat insulating board, and is dealt with by using ultraviolet ray. The shading panel 20 is provided at least with a folding means 40 at suitable positions on the surface thereof, so that the folding means 40 endue the shading panel 20 with an effect of collapsing to get the object of reducing the space for storing.

[0022] Please refer to FIG. 7, the crown 10 is provided at an appropriate position on the bottom thereof with an adjustment means 50 to allow a user to adjust the size of the crown 10 without wearing one by one to try to make selection. The adjustable crown 10 is convenient for manufacturing in a unitary way, and thereby gets rid of the inconvenience in sorting various sizes and types of crowns.

[0023] In conclusion, the structure of the academic cap of the present invention not only is good in the effect of sun shading, but also is adjustable in pursuance of the head sizes of users; and it can be folded to collapse taking advantage of the folding means provided on the shading panel to increase the convenience in storing. The present invention meets the elements for a utility model application; and having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to be secured by Letters Patent of the United States are:
