Abstract: The invention is an article of headwear that incorporates a hair compression system and adjustment system for compressing one or more sections of a wearer's hair. The headwear may be formed of a crown, a compression system, and an adjustment system. The compression system includes one or more stretchable materials that form the inner layer of the crown. The compression system may compress along a horizontal, diagonal and/or vertical plane of the head of a wearer. The compression system is attached to an adjustment system often at the back of the headwear which can be attached to the crown. The adjustment system allows a user to manually tighten the compression system to a desired pressure to keep the hair of the user compressed while the user wears the headwear. The desired hair compression is capable of being regulated by the adjustment system.

Abstract: A present disclosure provides a headpiece that includes a water-resistant covering for covering the user's hair and a band for encircling the user's head. The headpiece further includes an opening between the band and the water-resistant covering for accommodating hair. The opening can be enclosed with a tightening mechanism. This allows the user to adjust the band around the hairline independently from the step of securing hair under the water-resistant covering.

Abstract: An adjustable connector strap may include two interlocking bodies, wherein one body includes a plurality of teeth located along opposing edges, and the other body includes a plurality of notches located along opposing edges. The user may select the number of teeth that are mated with the notches to adjust the size of the strap. The use of interlocking teeth and notches along the opposed edges of the strap bodies may enhances the ability of the strap to maintain its interlocking strength during tension loads. The teeth and notch engagement may also allow a user to quickly engage or disengage the strap bodies, thereby enhancing the ease-of-use of the strap.

Abstract: Headwear in which a storage area or pocket is formed in one side of the hat portion where an accessory is stored in the pocket when not in use. The free end of the accessory can be removed from the pocket by the wearer and pulled across the wearer's face after which the free end of the accessory is detachably secured to an opposite side of the hat portion so that the accessory remains positioned over the wearer's face. After use, the free end of the accessory is detached from the hat portion and returned for storage in the pocket. The invention is described in an embodiment for use in a ski hat in which the accessory is a goggle. Also described is the provision of a non-permeable layer in the hat portion that prevents moisture from reaching the goggle to prevent it from fogging up during its use.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved specially designed ball cap that can be worn throughout the year, comprising a cap having easily accessed ear muffs positioned on each side of the cap so as to rest directly over the ears when accessed, these ear flaps are essentially triangular shaped panels featuring a cushiony warm lining, manufactured of cotton or wool. An easily accessed self affixing hook and loop strap fastener extends from the base of each ear flap and is comfortably secured beneath the chin during use. Designed to rest flush against the sides and top of the hat when not in use, these ear muffs blend with the overall design of the cap and can be adorned with logos or other decorative imagery, providing a striking contrast to the cap itself.

The adjustable strap includes first and second elongated strap members, each of the strap members having a free end and an opposing end forming a head that is wider than the body of the strap. One head has a single transverse slit formed therein and the other head has two parallel transverse slits formed therein, each of the slits being slightly wider than the body of the strap. In use, the free end of each strap member is drawn through the slit(s) in the head of the opposing strap member, and the free ends of the strap members are attached to the cap, visor, bag, or other article bearing the adjustable strap. The strap is preferably made from neoprene and encased in nylon fabric.

Abstract: A golf ball aligning device (GBAD) (10) that is disclosed as a golf visor (12) and as a golf cap (80). Both the visor (12) and the cap (80) feature a bill (40) that has a front square edge (44), an upper surface (50) and a lower surface (52). To the lower surface (52) and adjacent to the front square edge (44) of the bill (40) is applied a dark non-glare finish (60). Alternatively, to the square front edge (44) of the bill (40) can be attached by means of a living hinge (58) a square movable tab (48) also having a dark non-glare finish (60). The dark non-glare finish (60) when viewed by a golfer, aids in aligning a straight ball trajectory along a golf course. The GBAD (10) can also be designed to include a bill adjusting assembly (114) that interfaces with the right and left head bands (26),(32) and the respective right and left hand bands (26, 32).

The flexible cord is used to adjust the size of the headwear, and is also used to secure a wearer's hair when the wearer forms their hair into a ponytail. The adjustment mechanisms are band and clasp, pins and matching holes or Velcro and are located in the bottom portion of the hat and between the bottom portion and the top of the hat. To provide higher degree of protection, the top part is made out of hard material, in another example.

The belt may have a fastening element such as hook and loop material to maintain the selected length. Abstract: A manufacturing method of a size headwear including a head covering portion put on a head and a size tape member disposed on a lower portion of the head covering portion, the head covering portion has a single circumferential length, includes forming a single set of patterns for forming a single set of pieces of the head covering portion; cutting a fabric into the single set of pieces according to the single set of patterns; sewing the cut pieces with each other and connecting the size tape member along a circumferential direction on a lower portion of the sewed pieces to form a raw size headwear; and putting a raw size headwear on a plurality of thermoforming apparatuses to thermoform a size headwear, wherein the thermoforming apparatuses have the respective different sizes. The size headwear thermoformed in this manner may be inexpensively and easily produced and maintain a predetermined stereoscopic shape due to stiffness so that it may improve an esthetic sense without doing the ironing.

Inside each of these pockets are chin straps which may vary in size. Located at the ends of each of the chin straps are connectors. Located on the front exterior portion of the crown is a combination logo base and lower hatch patch which utilizes connectors to secure eye glasses including sunglasses, to the hat. Inside the interior portion of the hat there is a liner, which may be neoprene or synthetic rubber and nylon or polyester.

With respect to the crown, the adjustment system includes a first elastic material, which forms a majority of the crown, and a second elastic material, which is screenprinted or otherwise attached to a flap positioned within the crown. Regarding the visor, the adjustment system resides in a visor board configuration wherein slits are formed to separate various portions of the visor board. The slits permit the portions to move relative to each other, thereby permitting the visor to expand to accommodate stretching of the crown.

In turn the scarf may be moved between a stored position in the crown of the hat member and a deployed position removed from the crown and deployed over and about the head of the user.

A belt member is slidably received through the tubular cap band and adjusts to accommodate the size of the head of the wearer. In one embodiment, the opposed ends of the belt member include mutually engageable closure devices for joinder to accommodate the wearer's head. In another instance, the belt member is continuous and composed of flexibly expansible material. In still another instance, an elongated air bladder of resilient rubber-like material is received through the cap band with an air pump connected to the interior of the air bladder to selectively fill the air bladder with air.

Abstract: A reversible baseball style cap provides a crown having first and second layers of material that together form a dome shape that enables a user to wear and conform the crown to the user's head, and wherein either layer can be shaped into a concavity that abuts the user's head during use and wherein the outer layer defines an outer exposed surface. A bill of a floating foam material has a first curved edge that is stitched to the crown in between the first and second layers. The bill has a second curved edge defining a front of the cap. An adjustment cord extends through an opening in at least one of the layers at a position opposite the bill. The cord has end portions that are attached to the crown at two positions generally on opposite sides of the cord opening. A sleeve adjustably, slidably attaches to the cord to form an adjustable loop with the cord.

Abstract: An adjustable cap uses a coarse sizing system such as providing the dome of the cap with a pair of straps and placing a buckle on one of the straps and mating the other strap within the buckle, providing cooperating hook and loop material on each strap, providing cooperating prongs and corresponding receptacles on the straps, etc., which sizing system is static and provides the overall coarse sizing for the cap. A fine sizing system has one of the straps being made from two sections with one of the sections being made from an elastic material. This latter system provides continuous fine sizing adjustments.

A visor may be attached to the front or rear portion of the crown. The adjustment clasps may be hidden when adjusted for the wearer or they may be attached on the exterior of the crown. The flap may be of any shape including that of a logo or trademark. A trademark or logo may also be affixed to the flap.

Further, the clamping means or stopper provided on the adjusting mechanism serves to relieve the possible tightening feeling on the wearer's head by clamping the adjusting mechanism at a chosen desired position.

Abstract: A sport cap has a visor made of thick-walled neoprene foam rubber. The pattern of the visor is approximately crescent-shaped and has an arched inner edge, which is sewn in a stretched form to the elastic headband. In a use position, the visor has a middle convex curvature section and two lateral adjacent concave curvature sections, whereby there is a uniform transition between each of the curvature sections. Due to this multiple curvature of the visor, the visor has a form stability when in use but is at the same time soft and pliable. The cap with visor can be transported while crushed together in any form desired. The visor will always return to its original form once the cap is placed on the head.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a band buckle which is capable of fabricating a buckle based on a set formed of an upper ring and a lower ring, quickly releasing a bound force of an adjusting band by easily lifting only the upper ring when the adjusting band is inserted, and implementing an easier fabrication of a buckle and decreasing the fabrication cost of the same by forming a support portion in a rear end inner side surface of the lowering without forming the support portion in the upper ring.

Abstract: A ball cap comprising a plurality of gores forming a body, a sweat band having an elastic sweat portion, and an elastic gore that is stretchable to provide a ball cap that is stretchable to assume a variety of stretched conditions to accommodate a variety of head sizes, comprising a stiffener assembly that continuously supports the elastic gore in all stretched conditions, said stiffener assembly comprising a main body portion sized to underlie the elastic gore in its unstretched condition, a transverse channel housing the sweat band elastic portion, and a pair of folded side wings attached to the side edges of the elastic gore which unfold as the ball cap stretches to its stretched conditions to continuously support the elastic gore and the elastic sweat band portion.
