Adjustable punching bag

An adjustable punching bag includes an outer jacket bag and an inner bag set received in the outer bag. The inner bag set contains core stuffing, in which the content and kind of the stuffing can be adjusted to change the weight of the entire punching bag for meeting different practicing needs of users. Further, it is convenient to pack, store all parts thereof to lower delivery cost.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to an adjustable punching bag and particularly to a punching bag, which provides adjustable weight and hardness and is able to be folded for packing, storing and delivering conveniently.

2. Brief Description of the Related Art

The punching bag is frequently used during practicing skill of art of attack and defense. In order to meet different personal needs, punching bags in different weights are available for being chosen as desired. However, it is known that a lot of punching bags have to be prepared and the volumes of the punching bags are huge such that problems with regard to storage, packing and delivery in addition to handling cost are worth us to care.

As the foregoing, the conventional punching bag occupies limited space, requires high delivery cost. And, it is unable for the user to adjust weight thereof suitable for personal practice habit and load carrying ability. How to solve the preceding problems is a subject has to be overcome.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An object of the present invention is to provide an adjustable punching bag to improve deficiencies of being not possible for weight adjusting, packing and storing.

Another object of the present invention is to provide an adjustable punching bag, with which it is not necessary for manufactures to fabricate punching bags in different weights and to worry about unsold punching bags in stocks.

In order to achieve the preceding objects, the adjustable punching bag of the present invention includes an inner bag set and an outer jacket bag. The outer jacket bag provides an inlet for receiving the inner bag set. The inner bag set includes a first inner bag, a second inner bag and multiple daughter bags. The second inner bag and the daughter bags are filled with stuffing and placed in the outer jacket bag sequentially. The stuffing provides with gradients in different densities for controlling weight of the entire punching bag. The stuffing can be liquid, solid or gas. Liquid can be water, liquids in different specific weights or curdled glue formed of water with agent. Solid can be plastic air bag or lead blocks, which affect weight. Gas is capable of occupying space for decreasing weight. Even more, the stuffing can be any mixture of liquid, gas and solid. Thus, the weight of the punching bag is under control and the required weight can be obtained and precise training of skill with regard to art of attack and defense can be achieved. The cap knob at the top of the second inner bag can be removed to take out the daughter bags or the cap knob at the bottom of the second inner bag can be removed to release the stuffing completely. Further, the outer jacket bag and the inner bag set can be folded and stored in a box simply for being carried with the user conveniently.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, an adjustable punching bag apparatus of the present invention includes an inner bag set and an outer jacket bag 30. The outer jacket bag 30 provides several pieces of metal chains 31 and a tying cord 32 at the upper end thereof. The inner bag set includes a first inner bag 10, a second inner bag 20 and a plurality of daughter bags 23.

Wherein, the outer jacket bag 30 receives the inner bag set and the metal chains 31 is used for hanging the outer jacket bag 30. The tying cords 31 are used for closing the opening of the outer jacket bag 30.

Referring to FIG. 5A in company with FIG. 2 again, the first inner bag 10 is composed of a plurality of chambers 12 and each of the chambers 12 is injected with gas via a gas hole 121 till being fully expanded. Alternatively, each of the chambers 12 provides an opening at the top thereof for filling foam sealing agent or tiny polystyrene foam balls to expand as a bag with increased hardness. In case of the foam sealing agent being used, less air chambers are needed as shown in FIGS. 1A, 2A and 5C. Further, a soft rubber pad 13 is placed at the bottom of the first inner bag 10 for supporting the weight of the second inner bag 20.

Referring to FIG. 4 in company with FIG. 3, the second inner bag 20 has an inlet at the upper end thereof for receiving stuffing and daughter bags 23 and a cap knob 22 is joined to the inlet by way of supersonic welding. The lower end of the second bag 20 is joined with a discharge hole 21 by way of the supersonic welding for discharging the stuffing and regulating weight thereof and another cap knob is provided at the discharge hole 21. In order to facilitate operation for opening and closing of the cap, a recess type handle 221 is provided at the cap as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.

Referring to FIGS. 5, 5A and 5B, when the adjustable type punching bag of the present invention is in use, gas is injected into the chamber 12 in the first inner bag 10 via the gas hole 121 as shown in FIG. 5A to fully expand the first inner bag 10 and the first inner bag 10 is received in the outer bag 30. The soft rubber pad 13 is disposed between the first inner bag 10 and the second inner bag 20 as shown in FIG. 5B to bear the weight of the second inner bag 20. Further, the soft rubber pad 13 has a central hole 131 for being closed by the cap knob 21 such that the liquid in the second inner bag 20 can be released via the central hole 131. Then, the second inner bag 20 is received in the first inner bag 10 and water L is poured into the second bag 20 to increase the overall weight of the punching bag. If the second inner bag 20 is unable to fill up the preset weight of water, a plurality of daughter bags 23 are filled with gas and placed in the second inner bag 20 to allow the water L in the second inner bag 20 distributing evenly without forming the upper space of the second inner bag 20 being soft caused by lacking the water L. Besides, the daughter bags 23 can be stuffed with higher density material to increase the weight of the punching bag such that the weight of the punching bag is capable of being under control.

It is appreciated that the adjustable punching bag of the present invention is to change the weight of the whole punching bag by means of changing quantity and kind of the stuffing in the inner bags and there is no restriction to limit the quantity and the kind of the used stuffing and it can be mixed based on the need of the user. Further, the cap knob 21 at the bottom of the second inner bag 20 is opened first to discharge the water L in the inner bag 20 after the punching bag has been done completely. Then, the cap knob 22 is opened and the daughter bags 23 are taken out with the gas in the daughter bags 23 being released. Thus, all the bags are folded and placed in a box B for storage and being carried with the user. In case of the soft bags being used, the box B can be reduced in size for being stored, packed and delivered more conveniently.

While the invention has been described with referencing to a preferred embodiment thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.

Claims

1. An adjustable punching bag, comprising

an outer jacket bag, providing a mouth with tying and hanging members at the top thereof; and
an inner bag set, providing a first inner bag and a second inner bag, the second inner bag being received in the first inner bag and the second inner bag being filled with a first stuffing;
wherein, quantity or kind of the stuffing is changeable for controlling and adjusting weight of the punching bag.

2. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 1, wherein the first inner bag is made of hardened foam filling agent.

3. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 1, wherein the first inner bag has a plurality of chambers with an upper opening respectively for being stuffed with filling agent.

4. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 1, wherein the first inner bag has a plurality of chambers and provides at least a gas hole for being injected with gas.

5. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 3, wherein the filling agent is liquid, solid and/or gas.

6. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 1, wherein a plurality of daughter bags are received in the second inner bag and each of the daughter bags is received with a second stuffing, which is different the first stuffing.

7. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 1, wherein a plastic pad is disposed beneath the first inner bag to strengthen capability of bearing for the outer jacket bag and to stabilize center of gravity of the inner bags.

8. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 1, wherein the second inner bag has a cap member at the upper and lower end thereof for receiving or releasing stuffing.

9. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 1, wherein the first stuffing is liquid, solid and/or gas.

10. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 6, wherein the daughter bags are made of soft rubber.

11. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 8, wherein the cap member has a recess handle.

12. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 1, further comprises a cord member for closing the mouth.

13. The adjustable punching bag as defined in claim 1, wherein the cord member is metal chain.
