DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 1, a display box 10 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated, wherein the display box 10, which is arranged to hold a display item therein, comprises a container base 20 and a container cover 30.

The container base 20 has a display compartment 21 for holding the display item thereat. The container cover 30 includes an outer see-through casing 31 and an inner decorative casing 32, wherein the outer see-through casing 31 comprises an outer top wall 311 and an outer surrounding wall 312, and the inner decorative casing 32 comprises an inner top wall 321 and an inner surrounding wall 322. As can be seen in FIG. 2, the inner decorative casing is usually made of opaque material to prevent the item therein from being seen through the container cover 30 at the closed position.

In a preferred embodiment, the inner decorative casing 32 is detachably mounted to the outer see-through casing 31, wherein the outer top wall 311 and the outer surrounding wall 312 of the outer see-through casing 31 are overlapped with the inner top wall 321 and the inner surrounding wall 322 of the inner decorative casing respectively to form a double-wall structure to provide better protection of the items therein. Furthermore, the inner decorative casing 32 is detachably mounted to the outer see-through casing 31 is a hidden manner, meaning that when the inner decorative casing 32 is mounted to the outer see-through casing 31, it appears and functions as a casing as a whole.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the container base 20 has a rectangular shape matching with a rectangular shape of the container cover 30. In other words, the outer see-through casing 31 and the inner decorative casing 32 are configured to have a rectangular shape.

The display box 10 further comprises a pivot hinge 40 pivotally connecting the container cover 30 with the container base 20. More specifically, instead of using metal materials, the pivot hinge 40 is made by two spaced apart fabric flaps 41 coupling the container base 20 with the outer see-through casing 31 that the inner decorative casing 32 can be attached or detached therefrom. Accordingly, the inner decorative casing 32 has two spaced apart guiding slots 320 alignedly fitting to the fabric flaps 41 when the inner decorative casing 32 is coupled with the outer see-through casing 31. Therefore, when the inner decorative casing 32 is mounted to the outer see-through casing 31, the decorative casing 32 matches with the pivot hinge 40 to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the display box 10. It is worth to mention that when the inner decorative casing 32 is mounted to the outer see-through casing 31, the inner decorative casing 32 and the outer see-through casing 31 form as a one-piece integrated cover such that the inner decorative casing 32 is structurally hidden within the outer see-through casing 31. In other words, the inner decorative casing 32 can be seen through the outer see-through casing 31 to enhance the visual effect and the rigid structure of the container cover 30.

The container base 20 includes a display compartment 21 which comprises a holding filler 211. The holding filler 211 has an elongated holding slot 212, and a ring-shaped watch holder 213 detachably engaging with the holding slot 212 for holding the watch as the display item at the container base 20.

Preferably, the outer see-through casing 31 of the display box 10 is made of transparent material with a predetermined thickness. When the light passes through outer see-through casing 31 with a predetermined thickness, some optical effects can be generated such as reflection, refraction and diffraction, and a three-dimensional visual illustration is thus created with respect to the inner decorative casing 32, as shown in FIG. 2. In other words, a double visual effect can be created by the outer see-through casing 31 and the inner decorative casing 32. It is worth to mention that when the inner decorative casing 32 is interchanged with another inner decorative casing 32, a different visual effect can be provided.

Alternatively, the outer see-through casing 31 of the display box 10 can be made of translucent material with a predetermined thickness. When light passes through the outer see-through casing made of translucent material, a three-dimensional visual illustration is also generated with respect to the inner decorative casing 32. However, this visual illustration would be different from that created by transparent material. Referring to FIG. 3, the inner decorative casing 32 usually has an artistic printing 323 on the top surface thereof and it can be seen through the outer see-through casing 31 either with transparent or translucent material to create an embedding effect of the artistic printing 323. Even when the inner decorative casing 32 is detached, a three-dimensional visual illustration with respect to the item therein can be seen by the user through either transparent or translucent material of the outer see-through casing 31.

Accordingly, the container base 20 has a thickness of matching with a thickness of the outer see-through casing 31 of the container cover 30, wherein either the thickness of the container base 20 or the thickness of the outer see-through casing 31 provides a means of protection of the item therein. More specifically, the thickness of the container base 20 and container cover 30 can absorb the impact caused by external force when the box is squeezed or deformed. Even when the display box 10 falls on the ground, the thickness can acts as a barrier preventing the item inside from direct contact of the ground.

The inner decorating casing 32 also has a thickness and when the inner decorative casing 32 is mounted to the outer see-through casing 31, a double-wall structure of the container cover 30 is formed to provide better protection of the item inside. Furthermore, the overall of thickness of the outer see-through casing 31 and the Is inner decorative casing 32 is slightly larger than the thickness of the container base 20, but the difference is small enough that the overall thickness still matches the thickness of the container base. In other words, the inner decorative casing 32 is mounted to the see-through casing 31 in a hidden manner as illustrated above.

One skilled in the art will understand that the embodiment of the present invention as shown in the drawings and described above is exemplary only and not intended to be limiting.

It will thus be seen that the objects of the present invention have been fully and effectively accomplished. The embodiments have been shown and described for the purposes of illustrating the functional and structural principles of the present invention and is subject to change without departure from such principles. Therefore, this invention includes all modifications encompassed within the spirit and scope of the following claims.
