Two part hairline parting device
A two piece hair device for creating various hairlines of different shape in the user's head. The devices consists of two pieces each having a handle and a head with bristles. The front edges of the heads are shaped so as to correspond to the shape of one another and comprise a varied array of complimentary shapes. Upon joining the two pieces to one another, a hairline shape is created by the action of the bristles upon the hair. Various hairlines such as symmetrical, geometric type or non symmetrical, type maybe created using various shaped pieces.
The invention relates to the field hair care accessories and in particular to a hair styling device that can be used easily and quickly to create various shapes of hairlines in the user. It is believed that the invention will make parting of the hair easier and make it easier to provide a variety of shapes in hairlines including a straight part. Straight parts are possible at present but only if done by a hair stylist which requires some skill and dexterity. In the prior art there has not been any similar prior invention that provides the ability vary the shapes of various hair parts.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONA two piece hair device for creating hairlines of different shape in the user's head. The devices consists of two pieces each having a handle and a head with bristles. Each head has a series of bristles that are of rounded shape to conform to the user's head. The front edges of each of the heads are of shape corresponding to one another and comprise a varied array of complimentary shapes. The purpose of the device is to provide a means to shape hairlines to individualized preferences and to it with ease. It is possible to make certain parts in different shapes but it would be very tedious to do this by a manual process using combs and various other tools.
It is an object of the invention to provide a hair parting tool that can provide various shapes of hair parts to the user with a modicum of effort.
Another object of the invention is to allow the user to part his hair in styles that represent geometrical shapes such as curves, rectangles and triangles.
Another object of the invention is to provide a hair parting tool that may be inexpensively manufactured and efficiently marketed.
Another object of the invention is to provide a hair parting tool that can embody various shapes of hair parts by varying the construction of the shape of a part of the hair parting tool.
Another object of the invention is to provide a hair parting tool that can be easily maneuvered through the hair without undue effort and painful hair pulling.
Another object of the invention is to provide a hair parting tool that can make hairlines as precise as possible and that can be repeated by using the tool over again.
Another object of the invention is to provide a hair parting tool that can make complex hair parts with very simple movements on the part of the technician.
Another object of the invention is to provide a hair parting tool that can be used by amateur hair stylists at home to create complex hair part.
Another object of the invention is to provide a hair parting tool that can be used by professional hair stylists in order to create complex parts in the hair.
DISCUSSION OF PRIOR ARTIn contrast to the prior art, the present invention is sole directed toward creating a hairline in a variety of patterns. Using the hairline styling device allows for rapid paring of hair and creating a hairline without much skill. The apparatus also allows for a plurality of decorative hairlines to be created to individual tastes. Such examples of prior art include U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,286,519; 5,348,030; 6,062,231; 6,029,307; 5,323,793.
The overall form of the two piece devices is shown in
That front edge 7 of the head that is on the other side from the handle is specially shaped so as to fit into a corresponding shape of the corresponding edge on the corresponding piece. For example, these front edges may be of convex and concave shape as seen in
The shapes of these edges can then be chosen so as to give a person a hairline feature that will correspond to the shape chosen. For instance in
The bristles 8 are shaped so as to conform to the shape of a persons' head, that is the height of the bristle as they extend downwardly from the head is varied so as to form a curvature of the mass of bristles so as to conform to the head, see
The bristles 8 extend downwardly from the head and having a slight curvature to them so as to conform to the shape of the head of the person. The curvature in this regard is with respect to the length of the bristles themselves when seen in the front view as shown in
As seen in
The stylist then lightly holds each handle and places the bristles on opposite sides of the head at an area just above the ears of the recipient. He then joins the pieces to one another by moving the pieces toward one another, lightly across the top of the head and joining them across the top of the head. The pieces can then be removed from one another by moving them upward and away from the head.
It is possible that professional hair stylists can create some of these shapes of hairlines e.g. a straight hairline by skilled use of the comb or other object, other shapes such as the curved shape in
Other shapes for the front edges may be used without varying from the spirit of the invention. It is thought that various designed shapes may be find great utility with this invention. Another option is to have the heads able to detach from the handles so that one can then put on a chosen set of heads onto the handle and then form the hair part. An entire set of various shaped heads maybe sold with one pair of handles to go along with them.
Claims
1.
