BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field

The disclosure relates to a toy and, particularly, to a human-figure toy.

2. General Background

A human-figure toy normally stands on two lower limbs. To obtain a more stable upright position, the human-figure toy should have low centre of gravity. Counterweights are usually attached to the lower limbs to obtain a low centre of gravity. The heavier the counterweights are, the lower the centre of gravity is, and the more stable the human-figure toy stands. Yet, the human-figure toy should be light so as to be easily handled by minors. Thus, the counterweights have their limitations in achieving low centre of gravity.

Thus, what is needed is a human-figure toy which achieves low centre of gravity by means, in addition to counterweights.

SUMMARY

A human-figure toy is disclosed. The human-figure toy includes a head, a torso, two upper limbs and two lower limbs. The torso supports the head. The two upper limbs are connected with the torso. The two lower limbs supports the torso, each lower limb at least includes a main body and a cover, the main body defines battery cases configured for receiving batteries, the cover is mounted on the main body and covers the battery cases.

Other advantages and novel features will become more apparent from the following detailed description of embodiments when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present toy. Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.

FIG. 1 is an schematic, isometric view of a human-figure toy according to an exemplary embodiment.

FIG. 2 is an enlarged, isometric view of a lower limb of the human-figure toy of FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 is an enlarged, exploded view of the lower limb of FIG. 2.

FIG. 4 is a sectional view of the lower limb taken along the line of I-I in FIG. 2.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 1, a human-figure toy according to an exemplary embodiment is disclosed. The human-figure toy 10 includes a head 20, a torso 30 for supporting the head 20, two upper limbs 40 connected with the torso 30, and two lower limbs 50 supporting the torso 30.

Each lower limb 50 includes an upper portion 60, a lower portion 70, and a foot 80. The upper portion 60 connects the torso 30 with the lower portion 70. The foot 80 is connected with a bottom end of the lower portion 70.

Referring to FIGS. 2, 3, and 4, the upper portion 60 is hollow, and includes a spherical shaped big bottom end. Two coaxial shafts (not marked) extend outwardly from two opposite bottom ends of the upper portion 60 respectively. Two hinges 62 are rotatably mounted on the coaxial shafts respectively.

The lower portion 70 includes a front cover 73, a main body 71, and a back cover 72.

The main body 71 forms two longitudinal battery cases 711. Each battery case 711 is used to receive a battery. A connecting rib 713 extends upwardly from an upper end of the main body 71. Two strengthening ribs 714 extend at opposite sides of the main body 71. A connecting post 712 extends downwardly from a bottom end of the main body 71. The connecting post 712 includes a spherical bottom end 715.

The front cover 73 and the back cover 72 cooperate to form a cavity for receiving the main body 71. The front cover 73 faces openings of the battery cases 711 and is used to cover the battery cases 711.

Each foot 80 includes an upper cover 81, a counterweight 82, and a bottom cover 85. The upper cover 81 defines a hole 811 corresponding to the connecting post 712. The counterweight 82 defines a socket 821 for receiving the bottom end 715 of the connecting post 712.

When the lower limb 50 is assembled, the connecting post 712 passes through the hole 811 in the upper cover 81, the socket 821 of the counterweight 82 receives the bottom end 715 of the connecting post 712, thus forming a ball joint, the counterweight 82 is connected with the upper cover 81 by screws (not shown), the bottom cover 85 is connected with the upper cover 81 by clips (not shown). Thus, the foot 80 and the main body 71 are assembled together.

Then, the hinges 62 of the upper portion 60 are connected with the connecting rib 713 by screws (not shown), the back cover 72 is connected with the main body 71 by screws (not shown), the battery cases 711 receive batteries (not shown), the front cover 73 is connected with the back cover 72 by clips (not shown), and is connected with the main body 71 by screws (not shown). Thus, the lower limb 50 is assembled together.

Referring to Table 1 below, when the batteries are received in lower limbs 50, the height of centre of gravity of the toy 10 is lowered distinctly, thus, allowing the toy 10 to obtain a more stable upright position.

Moreover, it is to be understood that the invention may be embodied in other forms without departing from the spirit thereof. Thus, the present examples and embodiments are to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, and the invention is not to be limited to the details given herein.

Claims

1. A human-figure toy comprising:

a head;
a torso supporting the head; and
two lower limbs supporting the torso, wherein each of the lower limbs comprises a main body and a cover, the main body defines battery cases configured for receiving batteries, and the cover is mounted on the main body and covers the battery cases.

2. The human-figure toy of claim 1, wherein each of the lower limbs further comprises an upper portion, a lower portion, and a foot connected in turn, and the lower portion comprises the main body and the cover.

3. The human-figure toy of claim 2, further comprising two strengthening ribs extended at two opposite sides of the main body.

4. The human-figure toy of claim 2, further comprising two hinges and a connecting rib, wherein the two hinges are rotatably connected on a bottom end of the upper portion, and the connecting rib extends upwardly from an upper end of the main body, wherein the hinges and the connecting rib are fixed to each other.

5. The human-figure toy of claim 2, further comprising a connecting post extending downwardly from a bottom end of the main body, wherein the connecting post and the foot is connected by a ball joint.

6. The human-figure toy of claim 2, further comprising counterweights received in the feet.

7. The human-figure toy of claim 1, further comprising two upper limbs connected to the torso.

8. The human-figure toy of claim 2, further comprising two upper limbs connected to the torso.

9. The human-figure toy of claim 4, further comprising two upper limbs connected to the torso.

10. The human-figure toy of claim 5, further comprising two upper limbs connected to the torso.

11. The human-figure toy of claim 6, further comprising two upper limbs connected to the torso.
