In some aspects, a separator device can comprise a base surface, a front surface, a top end, a bottom end, a first side surface, and a second side surface. In some aspects, the top end has a generally trapezoid shape with a rounded front edge. In some aspects, the separator devices described herein can comprise perforations (through-holes) for breathability.

Abstract: A wearable device for lifting an area of skin on a wearer's torso below the wearable device in use includes a gripping element with an outer surface, and an inner surface formed of or coated with a non-slip material. The gripping element includes a band configured to encircle a lower part of a wearer's ribcage. The non-slip material extends along the band and contacts the skin. The wearable device further includes at least one lifting element secured to the gripping element and configured to extend over a shoulder of the wearer and to be adjustable in length. In use, the at least one lifting element is adjustable to exert a lifting force on the gripping element, the skin gripped thereby, and an area of skin on the torso below the gripping element.

Abstract: An athletic bra includes a support panel shaped to include first and second cups. Grooves are formed into the panel to provide areas of increase flexure and/or stretch. A textile layer can be secured to the support panel.

Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a bra system comprising a single-piece pad insert and a bra having a front portion with a pocket in communication with a pocket space formed between two textile layers used to form the front portion of the bra. The single-piece pad insert is used to provide shaping, modesty and support. When desired, a wearer can insert the pad insert into the bra by way of the pocket opening.

Abstract: Clothing articles having one or more pre-defined encapsulation zones, as well as systems and methods of producing such clothing articles. A clothing article is made of a fabric intended to cover a region of a human body of a wearer. The fabric includes at least one encapsulation zone which is surrounded by a surrounding region. The encapsulation zone includes at least a first encapsulation region, which is surrounded by a second encapsulation region, which is surrounded by a third encapsulation region. The first encapsulation region has a first level of elasticity; the second encapsulation region has a second level of elasticity that is smaller than the first level of elasticity of the first encapsulation region; the third encapsulation region has a third level of elasticity that is smaller than the second level of elasticity of the second encapsulation region.

Abstract: Bras for high impact, high support activities are provided. A bra comprises a band that wraps around a torso. The band includes first and second cup regions, and a channel that runs below the collective cup regions. A gore is formed above the channel and between the respective cup regions, adjoining the respective cup regions. A molded cradle is fitted into the channel. For each cup region, a tessellated encapsulating bra cup is fitted therein. Each tessellated encapsulating bra cup includes a plurality of tiles. Respective tiles in the plurality of tiles that are further away from the cradle are larger in size than respective tiles in the plurality of tiles that are closer to the cradle. Each tessellated encapsulating bra cup has a generally concave first inner face and a generally convex first outer face. The tessellated encapsulating bra cups collectively contribute cantilevered support to the bra.

Abstract: A breast supporting garment such as a shirt, bra or similar garment has a body section having a front bust section for supporting a woman's breasts. A band of elastic material is provided under the bust section for shape and support. Another band of elastic material is provided around the bottom of the garment and helps keep it from riding up. The bust section of the garment should be formed from two layers of fabric adhered with elastomeric adhesive. The fabric should be free cut knit fabric having a high level of spandex. The bra will be lightweight and free feeling, as if it is not there.

Abstract: Disclosed is an external breast prosthesis (1), including an envelope (2) of flexible material with a breast shape, the envelope defining an internal cavity (6) closed by a protective lid (3) of which one face, called the external face (4), is designed to be pressed against the chest of a person, the cavity enclosing a filler and a weighted element intended to adjust the weight of the prosthesis. The weighted element is in the form of a plurality of ballast elements (7) which are distributed along a sagittal axis of the prosthesis substantially perpendicular to the plane of the protective lid.

Abstract: Method of absorbing moisture around breasts of a person by inserting a bra liner made at least partly of absorbent material under a breast support between the skin of the chest and skin of each of right and left breasts, and partly between the right and left breasts. The bra liner includes a left portion, a right portion and a central portion between the left and right portions, the central portion including a flap partly separated from the left and right portions. The flap is folded about a center line of the body to thereby interpose the folded flap between the right and left breasts and maintain the right and left breasts out of contact with one another.

The middle component is formed of a mesh layer which is sewn to the inner front layer only at the neckline and arms, and has an open bottom edge. The prosthetic breast members are attached to the mesh layer and provide shaping for mastectomy patients or other individuals having a need or desire for natural looking shaping.

The post-operative shower brassiere is intended to be a single use disposable garment. The post-operative shower brassiere is intended for use during bathing or showering. The post-operative shower brassiere is formed from a water impermeable material. The post-operative shower brassiere forms a water impermeable seal around one or more breasts of the patient to protect post-surgical wounds received from breast surgery. Specifically, the post-operative shower brassiere protects the one or more breasts from the water used in bathing activities. The post-operative shower brassiere comprises a garment and a sealing strip. The sealing strip is applied to the interior surface of the garment.

Abstract: A bra that adheres to the wearer's torso, enabling the bra to stay securely in place while aesthetically lifting the wearer's breasts up and out. At least one adhesive patch that includes soft silicone affixed to the fabric of the bra, primarily in the areas adjacent to the cups, is provided. The soft silicone adheres to the wearer's skin via Van Der Waals forces, and a secondary layer of silicone or fabric may be used to secure that adhesion. The Van Der Waals adhesion mechanism can be enhanced by the inclusion of micrometer-sized setae along the soft silicone portion of the adhesive patches. The setae can be angled to provide additional support in the desired direction.

The bra also includes at least one retaining and/or supportive band that keeps one of the cups completely or at least partially in its normal position on a person while the other cup is not secured. The bra may further include at least one window in at least one of the cups for electrocardiogram leads. Abstract: A bra saver device made for underwire and non-underwire bras to provide protection to the wearer from sudden exposure to underwires and to provide comfort between the wearer of a bra from friction caused by movement of a bra during normal use. The present invention easily attaches to the edge of a bra by opening the clip to the present invention and placing it over the bra where ever an underwire has become exposed and then closing the clip to securely attach the present invention to a bra. The present invention can also be attached to any section of the bra at the edge along the bra at the top or the bottom, front or back where the wearer of the bra experiences discomfort.

Abstract: A brassiere for women who have undergone a single or double mastectomy with breast reconstruction and a profile-correcting insert that is either sewn directly into the brassiere or can be worn separately with other conventional brassiere and garments. The brassiere provides a natural, conical-shaped breast profile. The brassiere further provides elastic gathering at the upper-side region or around the bottom-half of the support cup, side-seam in close proximity to the cups, the option of elimination of any underwire within the support cup, and a wider elastic band underneath the cup(s) along the front of the wearer's rib-cage. Additionally, the profile-correcting insert can be affixed to other conventional brassieres or garments and the brassiere can be incorporated into other garments.

Abstract: There is provided a method of attaching a fastening means pad to a sidewing for a brassiere. The method comprises attaching the fastening means pad to a first sidewing piece, aligning a second sidewing piece with the first sidewing piece such that a portion of the second sidewing piece covers the operative face of the fastening means pad, joining the second sidewing piece to the fastening means pad along at least a portion of the perimeter of the fastening means pad, whilst leaving a section of the perimeter of the fastening means pad unjoined and inverting the joined fastening means pad and second sidewing piece through the unjoined section such that the operative face of the fastening means pad is exposed. There is also provided a sidewing with an attached fastening means pad and a brassiere comprising at least one sidewing with an attached fastening means pad in accordance with the present invention.

Abstract: A mass of memory foam or similar elastic material is sized and shaped to fit within a cleavage area to space breasts away from the cleavage area and lift the breasts somewhat. The spacer includes a front surface opposite a rear surface and with a base portion opposite a top portion. The base portion is larger than the top portion. Side portions extend from the base portion to the top portion on opposite sides of the spacer. These side portions act upon the breasts to lift and separate the breasts from each other. A band can optionally be provided girding the spacer. The band can be provided as camouflage or decorations can be placed on the band to decorate the spacer. The bands can be replaceable to switch between appearance options.

Abstract: An apparatus to be used as a woman's undergarment is provided. The apparatus is a bra having a strap that fastens to the cups of the bra that protect and hold the breast of the user. The apparatus has a cup having at least a first layer which contacts the individual's skin. The apparatus further has a second layer which is directly opposed to the first layer and may contact the outer clothing of the individual. Moreover, the device has a third layer and/or insert which is positioned between the first layer and the second layer, and further wherein the third layer may provide an extra zone of thickness for the breast nipple and thereby may enable concealment of an erect breast nipple. The third layer may be of varying thickness and in an embodiment that may be thicker than the first and second layer and may be removable from the undergarment if desired.

Abstract: Disclosed is a bra for female breast support and formation that is particularly suited to provide the wearer a choice of support and shaping parameters. The bra comprises a pair of interconnected breast receiving cups, a conventional back strap and optional shoulder straps. A pair of skin gripping pads are sized and positioned to fit within the respective cups in a position to embrace the under and lateral side of the respective breast and include a selectively adjustable link interconnecting the support pads across and under the medial port ion of the bra. By shortening the link the support pads move laterally, drawing the breasts together. In a second embodiment the support pads may also be adjusted up and down by shortening or lengthening secondary shoulder straps that are attached to the upper portion of the respective pads and are positioned underneath the conventional bra shoulder straps.

Abstract: A molded pad for a brassiere cup contains shaved polyurethane foam inserts interleaved between thin upper and lower polyurethane foam layers. Three shaved inserts can be used for positioning in the neckline, underarm and center front regions of the pad, with each insert providing a different level of firmness and elongation to the pad. The pad can be made by positioning the shaved inserts in between thin upper and lower polyurethane layers and molding the composite under heat and pressure to form a laminate having a bra cup shape.

The center of the elastic band extends into an ascending sector defining a bridge having concave lateral edges and a lower edge which is also curved-concave, while the tops of the lateral edges also have divergent sections suitable for adapting to the contour of the breasts of the user. The bridge has cushioned padding, which affects the intermammary area up to the neckline as well as the semi-perimeter of the lower contour of the breasts including the lateral portions or sides of the armholes.

Abstract: Post-operative medical prosthetic devices, more particularly a combined garment and prosthesis that is useful for female patients having major chest trauma, including post-op mastectomy, burn, heart and lung surgery, and for patients having severe chest skin sensitivity, including skin and sub-dermal post-op surgical exposed tissue, healing scars, gangrenosis, chemotherapy and the like. The inventive garment/prosthesis includes an undergarment comprising a uniquely designed upper-half-bra having a special pocket for an insertable/removable upper-half-breast prosthesis that only contacts the upper portion of the chest, well above areas of surgical trauma. This provides a cantilever, permitting over-garments to drape free from contact with the chest and stomach exterior surfaces.
