Description

The invention relates to a hand carrier for grinding material with a grinding area and a bail.

Hand carriers for grinding material are known in many different forms. Fields of application are general grinding tasks, like surface processing of wood or metal. However, the use as a product for personal care is also widespread. Here it can be used for peeling and depilation. The use as a fluff roller is common, too.

Since these products should be easy to produce and inexpensive, they are made by welding together two plastic films, possibly with an intermediate layer.

This technique results in a sharp edge of the grinding area, which can damage the surface or the skin when handled clumsily.

In addition such products have no high-quality appearance and often their handling is not comfortable.

It is the object of the invention to indicate a hand carrier for grinding material, which avoids the specified disadvantages.

This object is met through the characteristics of claim 1.

Embodiments of the invention are represented in the subclaims.

An execution in one piece from solid material avoids the sharp edge of the grinding area, which results from the welding together of films. Thus, the edge can advantageously be executed as a flange, which avoids injuries to the surface or the skin. The bail too, is formed integrally and extruded or moulded with the hand carrier; in addition, it is advantageously provided with a bead. This way the hand can catch conveniently under the bail.

A hand carrier for grinding material can be handled well, if the grinding area is in oval shape. For this form sandpapers are routinely available.

Other shapes of the grinding area are nevertheless conceivable, for example for grinding surfaces on body parts such as feet, or on more complex work pieces.

Synthetics of 30 to 100 Shore has proved of value, and is easy to process. In addition, the manageability of the hand carrier is good, if a certain elasticity of the grinding area and the bail is given. A hardness of the material between 30 and 100 Shore-A seems optimal.

Depending on the Shore hardness, the grinding area is shaped in such a way, that it adapts to all surfaces. Sand papers are provided as grinding material, which adhere both adhesively and by touch fasteners to the grinding area and can be removed simply by peeling off.

Embodiments of the invention are described in the figures by way of example.

FIG. 1 shows a top view of a hand carrier.

FIG. 2 shows the lateral view to FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 shows a different form of a hand carrier

In FIG. 1 an oval hand carrier 1 with its grinding area 2 is shown in top view. It is bordered by a flange 3, which confers stability to the carrier. The bail 4 extends from one side of the grinding area 2 to the other side and is also bordered by a bead. The form can be a round, oval, or kidney shape.

In FIG. 2 the same hand carrier 1 is presented in a lateral view with the flange 3. The grinding material 6 adheres to the grinding area 2. The bail 4 with its bead 5 extends above the grinding area in such a way, that a hand can reach under it.

In FIG. 3 a hand carrier 7 is presented in modified form with its grinding area 2 in top view. It is smaller and, for example, fits for only one finger. It is bordered by the flange 3. The bail 4 extends from one side of the grinding area 2 to the other side and has no bead.
