ASSEMBLY JOINT STRUCTURE OF A LONG HANDLE AND A SCRAPER TOP FOR A SCRAPING TOOL
The invention is related to an assembly joint structure of a long handle and a scraper top for a scraping tool. In general, it contains a long handle for hand grip and a scraper top in the front. In the invention, the rear central section of the scraper top has a connecting column of suitable length. On the connecting column, there are two through holes. In the front of the long handle, there is a connecting hole that has the same inner diameter as the outer diameter of the connecting column. On the wall of the connecting hole there are corresponding through holes. When the scraper top inserts the connecting column into the connecting hole of the long handle, rivets can be put in the through holes to constitute an assembly joint structure between the long handle and the scraper top.
1. Field of the Invention
The invention is related to a scraping tool that is used to remove residual materials on wall or ground. Especially, it refers to an assembly joint structure of a long handle and a scraper top for a scraping tool.
2. Description of the Prior Art
For interior remodeling work like replacing carpet or wallpaper, it requires to thoroughly remove residual materials or adhesives on wall surface or ground surface to assure firmness and flatness.
First, the scraper top 10 and the blade 24 are flat and wide and of a certain width. The joint section of the long handle 10 and the scraper top 20 is located in the rear center of the scraper top 20. That means the force exerted on the long handle 10 is longitudinal and in the back of the scraper top 20. However, the scraping side of the blade 24 is under lateral force. When the blade 24 is under lateral force, it is possible to have unbalanced forces on either the left or the right side. The unbalanced force can affect the user in operating the long handle 10 and exerting longitudinal force to cause rotation of the long handle 10 and eventually unexpected loosening of the long handle 10 in the process of exerting force. As a consequence, there is a concern of separating the long handle 10 and the scraper top 20.
Second, the force exerted onto the long handle 10 is transmitted through the assembly joint section to the scraper top 20. If there is a potential for the joint section to be rotated and loosened due to unbalanced force, there will be a danger of instant separation during the scraping action.
The invention aims to eliminate the drawbacks in the assembly joint structure between a long handle and a scraper top of a commonly known scraping tool. This is also the motivation of the invention.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe objective for the invention is to provide an assembly and joint structure of a long handle and a scraper top for a scraping tool that the scraper top inserts a connecting column in the rear section into a connecting hole in the front of the long handle to prevent rotation of the assembly joint section.
To achieve the above objective, the invention contains a connecting column of suitable length formed in the rear central section of the flat and wide scraper top. The connecting column has through holes, while the front section of the long handle has a connecting hole of the same diameter as the outer diameter of the connecting column. On the tubular wall of the connecting hole there are corresponding through holes. When the scraper top inserts the connecting column into the connecting hole in the front of the long handle and results in a firm joint, rivets can be put in the through holes to further enhance the assembly joint structure to prevent rotation between the long handle and the scraper top.
