RAMP STRUCTURE FOR CONNECTING FLOORING
A ramp structure for connecting floorings comprises an L-shaped body and a plurality of supporting frames, the L-shaped body includes a vertical surface and an inclined surface, the vertical surface is for pressing against a wall surface of a flooring, so that the inclined surface of the L-shaped body can be connected to the flooring to form a ramp. Each of the supporting frames includes a top portion for aligning tightly with the inclined surface of the L-shaped body, and two supporting legs; the top portions of the supporting frames are directly coupled with the inclined surface of the L-shaped body, in order to enhance an upward supporting strength of the inclined surface.
1. Field of Invention
The present invention relates to a ramp structure for connecting floorings which is structurally simple and with low costs for mass production, and is applicable for disability ramps of various types of buildings or ramps of exhibition halls and factories.
2. Background
Since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed, people with disabilities can be the same as the general public, they can go to schools, work and take public transportations. It is stated in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that public transportations should have ramps or lifts for wheelchair users to get on and get off, stations should be complied with safety measures and equipped with facilities for getting off, and vehicles should be equipped with vehicle-mounted occupant restraint systems for fixation of wheelchairs. A ramp should have a length twelve times of its height as stipulated.
However, besides permanent and stationary ramps such as those made of cement which are constructed according to stipulations, movable or temporary ramp structures which are mostly made of aluminum formed in one piece are also available for users, but the costs are high for mass production. Furthermore, such ramps with fixed dimensions can not meet the requirements of large and long entrances and exits of exhibition halls and factories.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONA primary object of the present invention is to provide a ramp structure for connecting floorings which is structurally simple and with low costs for mass production.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned objects, the present invention of a ramp structure for connecting floorings comprises an L-shaped body and a plurality of supporting frames, the L-shaped body includes a vertical surface and an inclined surface, the vertical surface is for pressing against a wall surface of a flooring, so that the inclined surface of the L-shaped body can be connected to the flooring to form a ramp. Each of the supporting frames includes a top portion for aligning tightly with the inclined surface of the L-shaped body, and two supporting legs. The top portions of the supporting frames are directly coupled with the inclined surface of the L-shaped body, in order to enhance an upward supporting strength of the inclined surface.
When it is embodied, after the top portions of the supporting frames are coupled with the inclined surface of the L-shaped body, a plurality of through holes are formed on the inclined surface of the L-shaped body and the top portions of the supporting frames, so that partial areas of the inclined surface of the L-shaped body can go through the through holes to grasp on the top portions of the supporting frames.
When it is embodied, a bent edge is respectively disposed downwardly from two sides of the inclined surface of the L-shaped body, and at least one coupling hole is disposed on each of the bent edges for connecting with another bent edge of another ramp structure.
The present invention will become more fully understood by reference to the following detailed description thereof when read in conjunction with the attached drawings.
Referring to
The L-shaped body 1 includes a vertical surface 11 and an inclined surface 12, the vertical surface 11 is for pressing against a wall surface of a flooring, so that the inclined surface 12 of the L-shaped body 1 can be connected to the flooring to form a ramp. A bent edge 13 is respectively disposed downwardly from two sides of the inclined surface 12 of the L-shaped body 1, and at least one coupling hole 131 is disposed on each of the bent edges 13 for connecting with another bent edge 13 of another ramp structure.
Each of the supporting frames 2 is in an upside down U-shape, it includes a top portion 21 for aligning tightly with the inclined surface 12 of the L-shaped body 1, and two supporting legs 22. The top portions 21 of the supporting frames 2 are directly coupled with the inclined surface 12 of the L-shaped body 1, in order to enhance an upward supporting strength of the inclined surface 12. When it is embodied, after the top portions 21 of the supporting frames 2 are coupled with the inclined surface 12 of the L-shaped body 1, a plurality of through holes 14 are formed on the inclined surface 12 of the L-shaped body 1 and the top portions 21 of the supporting frames 2, so that partial areas 121 of the inclined surface 12 of the L-shaped body 1 can go through the through holes 14 to grasp on the top portions 21 of the supporting frames 2.
When it is embodied as shown in
Therefore, a ramp structure of the present invention has the following advantages:
-
- 1. The present invention employs riveting to couple the L-shaped body and a plurality of the supporting frames to reinforce the structure, and low cost iron sheets can be used which are easy for manufacturing and mass production.
- 2. A ramp structure of the present invention can be assembled to a suitable length to meet various requirements of different sites, thus it is very convenient and practical.
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail, many modifications and variations may be made by those skilled in the art from the teachings disclosed hereinabove. Therefore, it should be understood that any modification and variation equivalent to the spirit of the present invention be regarded to fall into the scope defined by the appended claims.
