DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The disclosure, including the accompanying drawings, is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean at least one.

FIGS. 1 and 2, show an exemplary embodiment of a blower including a base 10, a cylindrical centrifugal impeller 20, a rotating member 30, a cover 40, and four fasteners 50.

The base 10 includes a bottom plate 12, and two supporting plates 14 respectively extending down from opposite sides of the bottom plate 12. A circular opening 121 is defined in a middle of the bottom plate 12. Four through holes 123 are defined in the bottom plate 12 around the opening 121.

The centrifugal impeller 20 includes a shaft 21 formed on a middle of the centrifugal impeller 20.

The rotating member 30 includes a fixing plate 31 and a shield 33 extending from the fixing plate in a substantially perpendicular manner The fixing plate 31 includes a ring-shaped rotating portion 312, and a connecting portion 314 extending outward from a section of an outer circumference of the rotating portion 312, to connect the rotating portion 312 to the shield 33. A flange 315 protrudes from an inner circumference of the rotating portion 312, away from the shield 33. Three spaced notches 313 are defined in an inner circumference of the flange 315. The shield 33 is arc-shaped, and arranged on a circumference of the connecting portion 314. Two latching portions 331 respectively protrude from opposite ends of the outer surface of the shield 33.

The cover 40 includes a top plate 41, a motor (not shown) installed on the center of the bottom of the top plate 41, four side plates 43 respectively extending down from four sides of the top plate 41 in a substantially perpendicular manner, and a cable 47 extending through the top plate 41 and electrically connected to the motor. Three air outlets 48 are respectively defined in three of the side plates 43. The other side plate 43 forms an ach-shaped inner surface 45 around the center of the top plate 41. A ring-shaped concave portion 411 is formed in the bottom of the top plate 41 around the center of the top plate 41. Three spaced bent hooks 412 are formed on the concave portion 411 around the center of the top plate 41. Two latching slots 431 are respectively defined in opposite ends of the inner surface of each side plate 43. Four threaded holes 435 are respectively defined in four corners of the bottom of the side plates 43.

FIGS. 3 and 4, in assembly, the hooks 412 are extended through the notches 313, to allow the fixing plate 31 to contact with the bottom of the top plate 41, and to allow the flange 315 to engage in the concave portion 411. The rotating member 30 is rotated, to allow the hooks 412 to respectively stagger from the notches 313. Thereby, the rotating member 30 is rotatably mounted to the top plate 41. The centrifugal impeller 20 is placed below the fixing plate 31, and the shaft 21 is rotatably connected to the motor. The base 10 is placed below the centrifugal impeller 20, to allow the through holes 123 to respectively align with the threaded holes 435. The fasteners 50 are respectively extended through the through holes 123 and engaged in the threaded holes 435, to fix the base 10 to the cover 40. Thereby, the blower is assembled. The centrifugal impeller 20 is arranged between the base 10 and the cover 40.

In use, the rotating member 30 is rotated according to a heat dissipation need, to allow the shield 33 to cover one of the air outlets 48 which needn't air blowing out. The latching portions 331 are respectively engaged in the latching slots 431 adjacent to the opposite ends of the air outlet 48. The centrifugal impeller 20 draws air from the opening 121, and sends airflow outwards through the other two air outlets 48.

When there is a need to have three air outlets 48, the rotating member 30 is rotated to overlap the inner surface 45, and the latching portions 331 are respectively engaged in the latching slots 431 at opposite ends of the inner surface 45. The three air outlets 48 are opened, the centrifugal impeller 20 draws air from the opening 121, and sends airflow outwards through the three air outlets 48.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the embodiments have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and the functions of the embodiments, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the embodiments to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
