COMB DEVICE FOR HAIR TREATMENT
A comb applicator device system for applying hair treatment material to hair. The system include a comb device configured with apertures on the teeth and cavities or tunnels inside the teeth and the comb body. An entry opening is configured on the wall of the comb body to connect a tubing system with a pump. The pump can pump liquid hair treatment material from its container to the comb body and teeth, applying to hair when combing hair.
This Application claims the benefit of the priority of the U.S. Provisional Application No. 61/673424, filed on Jul. 19, 2012, and the entirety of which is hereby incorporated by reference.
DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ARTThe present application relates to a device for hair treatment, and more particularly to a comb that encloses a cavity and a plurality of apertures and holes on the wall of the comb teeth; and a pump for pumping hair treatment material into the comb for hair treatment.
Note that the points discussed below may reflect the hindsight gained from the disclosed inventions, and are not necessarily admitted to be prior art.
The conventional hair combs comprises a solid handle and a plurality of solid comb teeth. The combs are generally made of plastics and metals.
However, for hair treatment and manipulation, such as hair styling, hair coloring, hair shining and other treatments, chemical compositions are generally required to be placed on the hair. Conventionally the chemicals are put on the hair manually and little by little, this requires extensive labor. Sometimes a hair treatment can takes more than two hours of sitting a chair. Hair treatment is a taunting task for many people, and it generally requires the help of another person. Additionally, the chemicals, such as hair dye, can be spilled or stained on clothes, causing additional damages or grievances for the customers.
There is a need for a safe and easy to use device for hair treatment.
SUMMARYThe present application discloses a hair treatment applicator device system for applying hair treatment material to the hair easily and safely.
In one embodiment, the hair treatment applicator includes a comb having body and a plurality of teeth, wherein a cavity is configured inside the body and the connecting teeth. A plurality of holes are configured on each of the teeth, allowing liquid material flow outside from the cavity inside the comb. An entry opening is configured on the body so that a fluid material can be flowed into the comb body. The entry opening is mounted with an O-ring for sealablly holding a tubing.
In one embodiment, a solid handle shaped for easy hand grasping is mounted with the comb body for easy holding.
In one embodiment, the comb is connected to a micro-pump through a tubing. The tubing is configured with a sealable tip head that can air-tightly insert into the entry opening on the comb body. The other end of the tubing is configured with a cap that matches to a hair treatment bottle's open mouth, allowing the tubing to be held onto the bottle.
In operation, the micro-pump pumps the liquid hair treatment from its container bottle into the comb body and its teeth while the comb teeth are combing hair, so that through the plurality of the apertures on the teeth, the liquid hair treatment material is applied to the hair.
The design is simple modification of the current comb systems, does not require special assembly or new complicated designs. The manufacturing cost increase due to the increased functionality of the comb is minimized. The pump system can be designed to be multifunctional.
The disclosed application will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, which show important sample embodiments of the invention and which are incorporated in the specification hereof by reference, wherein:
The numerous innovative teachings of the present application will be described with particular reference to presently preferred embodiments (by way of example, and not of limitation). The present application describes several embodiments, and none of the statements below should be taken as limiting the claims generally.
For simplicity and clarity of illustration, the drawing figures illustrate the general manner of construction, and description and details of well-known features and techniques may be omitted to avoid unnecessarily obscuring the invention. Additionally, elements in the drawing figures are not necessarily drawn to scale, some areas or elements may be expanded to help improve understanding of embodiments of the invention.
The terms “first,” “second,” “third,” “fourth,” and the like in the description and the claims, if any, may be used for distinguishing between similar elements and not necessarily for describing a particular sequential or chronological order. It is to be understood that the terms so used are interchangeable. Furthermore, the terms “comprise,” “include,” “have,” and any variations thereof, are intended to cover non-exclusive inclusions, such that a process, method, article, apparatus, or composition that comprises a list of elements is not necessarily limited to those elements, but may include other elements not expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, apparatus, or composition.
In reference to
Pumping system 110 includes a tubing system 113 and a pump 111. One end of the tubing system 113 is mounted with a tip head 115 having shape that can inert into entry opening 105 and match to the O-ring tightly. Preferably, tip head 115 is of a concaved groove shape that matches the convex shape of entry opening 105, so that they can hold onto each other tightly. The other end of tubing system 113 is configured to be disposed with a hair treatment material bottle 117, preferably with a cap 121 to hold onto the bottle without slipping off.
Tubing system 113 is fitly mounted unto pump 111 so that pump 111 can readily pump hair treatment material 119 from bottle 117 into comb body 103.
In reference to
In operation, a user combs hair with the comb applicator 120 while the micro-pump pumps a liquid hair treatment from its container bottle into the comb body and its teeth. Through the plurality of the apertures 109 on the teeth, the liquid hair treatment material is applied to the hair while combing.
None of the description in the present application should be read as implying that any particular element, step, or function is an essential element which must be included in the claim scope: THE SCOPE OF PATENTED SUBJECT MATTER IS DEFINED ONLY BY THE ALLOWED CLAIMS. Moreover, none of these claims are intended to invoke paragraph six of 35 USC section 112 unless the exact words “means for” are followed by a participle.
The claims as filed are intended to be as comprehensive as possible, and NO subject matter is intentionally relinquished, dedicated, or abandoned.
