DRIFT SKATE
A drift skate includes a board and at least one frame which has a connection portion and a cushion installation portion which is connected to the top of the connection portion. Two rollers are respectively connected to the connection portion by two axles. At least two independent cushions are respectively connected between the cushion installation portion and the board by two bolt units. The cushions are functions independently and respond to the action of the board so as to absorb vibration and reaction force from the ground.
1. Fields of the invention
The present invention relates to a drift skate, and more particularly, to a drift skate having independent cushions.
2. Descriptions of Related Art
The conventional drift shake generally comprises a board and a roller unit connected to the underside of the board. The user stands on the board with his/her foot and a securing belt is used to position the foot on the board. When in use, each of the two feet of the user stands on one drift skate, and the user moves the two drift skates back and forth and left and right, and cooperated with twisting his/her body to control the actions of the two drift skates.
China Utility Model CN201643640 discloses a drift skate with three rollers which comprises two universal rollers and a one-direction roller to the underside of the board. The three rollers are arranged at three corners of a triangle. The two universal rollers connected to a rail extending perpendicularly from the underside of the board by slides, each slide is cooperated with a spring which is located in the rail. When using the drift skates and the weight center of the user shifts to the first side of the board, the first side of board tilts downward and the slide moves in the rail. The universal roller moves upward relative to the rail and the spring is compressed. The second side of the board lifts upward and applied with less force, so that the slide moves downward in the rail by the action of the spring. The universal rollers move downward to contact the ground. Therefore, the user can keep the two universal rollers to be constantly in contact with the ground by adjusting his/her weight center to provide more stability when using the drift boards.
China Utility Model CN202398082 discloses another drift skate with two rollers which comprises two support members connected to the underside of the board. The first axle of the first support member is connected with the first bearing, and the second axle of the second support member is connected with the second bearing. The first roller is mounted to the first bearing and the second roller is mounted to the second bearing. The advantage is that the structure is simple and the rollers are freely operated.
China Utility Model CN2428184 discloses yet another drift skate which discloses the use of cushion which is a spring. The board is cooperated with the rollers by universal joints, racks/gears and connection members. However, these parts affect the response of the spring and the performance of the board relative to the roller frame is also restricted.
The board has to be fully responded to the actions of the user's foot and the change of the weight center of the user so as to stably operate the drift skates and perform high level of technics.
The reaction force from the ground when the rollers contact the ground is transferred to the user's feet via the boards, such that when the drift skates move over uneven surface, the user may feel uncomfortable and the performance is affected.
When performing figure skating, such as a jump, when the rollers contact the ground, the reaction force and vibration are completely transferred to the board. The reaction force and vibration obviously affect the user's joints, muscles, ligaments and bones.
The present invention intends to provide a drift skate which improves the shortcomings mentioned above.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to a drift skate and comprises a board and at least one frame which has a connection portion and a cushion installation portion. The cushion installation portion is connected to the top of the connection portion. Two rollers are respectively connected to the connection portion by two axles. At least two independent cushions are respectively connected between the cushion installation portion and the board by two bolt units.
The reaction force from the ground can be absorbed and shared by the independent cushions so that the impact to the user can be reduced and the manipulation.
The use of the independent cushions allows the board to be manipulated in different directions and angles, such as moving, tilting and turning. The multiple independent cushions independently reacts in response to the action of the board, such that when the user moves, tilts, turns the drift skate boards and changes the weight center, the user maintains balance and can perform high level of skills.
There are at least two independent cushions equipped with the single frame to provide better cushioning feature.
The arrangement of the independent cushions responds the action of the board and has good support to the board.
The elastic constant of the independent cushions can be adjusted according to practical needs.
The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

Each of the frames 30 has a connection portion 31 and a cushion installation portion 32 which is connected to the top of the connection portion 31. The two rollers 20 are respectively connected to the connection portion 31 by two axles 21. The two rollers 20 are connected between the two frames 31 linearly. Two bottom sleeves 33 are connected to the top of each of the cushion installation portions 32, and four top sleeves 11 are connected to the underside of the board 10. The bottom sleeves 33 are located corresponding to the top sleeves 11. Each of the cushions 40 is located between the correspondent bottom sleeve 33 and the top sleeve 11. The bottom sleeve 33 is inserted in the top sleeve 11, so that each of the cushions 40 is completely accommodated between the top and bottom sleeves 11, 22.
The cushions 40 are elastic rubber sticks, other material and form can also be used in the present invention. Each of the cushions 40 has a reception recess 41 defined in the top end thereof, and each of the cushions 40 has an adjustment recess 42 defined in the lower end thereof. A central passage 43 is defined through the cushion 40, the reception recess 41 and the adjustment recess 42. The board 10 has four sink holes 12 which are located corresponding to the central passages 43 of the cushions 40. Each of the cushion installation portions 32 has two holes 34 which are located corresponding to the central passages 43 of the cushions 40.
There are two independent cushions 40 respectively connected between each of the cushion installation portions 32 and the board 10 by two bolt units. Each of the two bolt units has a bolt 47, a washer 471, a first nut 472 and a second nut 473. The washer 471 and the first nut 472 are located at the underside of the board 10 and the bolt 47 extends through the board 10, the washer 471, the first nut 472 and the cushion installation portion 32. A distal end of the bolt 47 has threaded portion which is then connected to the second nut 473. The washer 471 and the first nut 472 contact against the underside of the board 10. The bolt 47 has a hexagonal head 470 which is received in the sink hole 12 in the board 10.
When the user changes his/her weight center to the first position (not shown) of the board 10, the first position of board 10 tilts downward so that the cushions 40 located at that first position are compressed. The bolts 47 move downward along with the tilt of the board 10 to store more force to the cushions 40. The rollers 20 are applied by a lateral force and the drift skate moves toward the direction that the weight center changes to. Because there are four independent cushions 40, so that the board 10 can be fully responded to the frames 30 in different directions. The cushions 40 are individually reacts to react in response to the actions of the board 10, such as the user moves the two drift skates back and forth and left and right, and twists his/her body.
There are two cushions 40 installed to each of the two frames 30 so that the board 10 is supported by four cushions 40 which provide better support. The reaction force from the ground can be absorbed and shared by the cushions 40 to reduce impact to the user.
The elastic constant of each of the cushions 40 can be adjusted by moving the second nut 473 to change the forces from the board 10 and the frame 30. The adjustment recess 42 of each of the cushions 40 allows the cushion 40 to be adjusted.
The cushion 40 is protected by the top sleeve 11 and the bottom sleeve 33, and the bottom sleeve 33 can be retracted into the top sleeve 11 when the cushion 40 is in action so that the movement of the top and bottom sleeves 11, 33 does not interfere the operation of the cushion 40.
