The auxiliary guide 152 may be arranged between the wire hole 34 and the wire fixing portion 100 in the second space B, i.e., at the rear side of the partition wall 150 to guide both lateral surfaces of the wire 40 to prevent separation of the wire 40.

FIG. 5 is an enlarged view showing a wire fixing portion according to an embodiment, FIG. 6 is a front view showing the wire fixing portion of FIG. 5, and FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the wire fixing portion, taken along line A-A′ in FIG. 6.

As described above, the controller 20 is arranged at the outside of the air blower unit 60, and the wire 40 is arranged to run from the controller 20 to the motor 68 arranged in the air blower unit 60.

The grille 70 may be provided with the wire fixing portion 100 to guide or fix the wire 40. Specifically, the suction grille 72 may be provided with the wire fixing portion 100 to guide the wire 40 such that the wire 40 is disposed along the suction grille 72, not contacting the fan 66.

The suction grille 72 may include a first grille 75 formed in a first direction W1, which is a radial direction of the disc plate 73, and a second grille 76 arranged in the shape of a plurality of concentric circles in a second direction W2, which is a circumferential direction of the disc plate 73. The wire fixing portion 100 may be arranged in the first direction W1. Specifically, the wire fixing portion 100 may be arranged at the first grille 75 formed in the first direction W1 to guide the wire 40 from the outer side to the inner side of the suction grille 72, and from an outer radial position to the inner radial position at which the motor 68 is arranged. In the illustrated embodiment, the suction grille 72 is provided with the first grille 75 arranged in the radial direction and the second grille concentrically arranged in the circumferential direction. However, embodiments of are not limited thereto. The grille 70 may be formed in a lattice shape and provided with a first grille arranged in one of the horizontal and vertical directions, and a second grille arranged in the other one of the horizontal and vertical directions. Any directions may be taken as the first direction W1 and the second direction W2 so long as they are different from each other.

The wire fixing portion 100 may include a guide 110 and a fixing flange 120.

The guide 110 may guide a portion of the wire 40 to allow the wire 40 to be seated at the suction grille 72. In the case that the wire 40 is connected between the inner side and outer side of the air blower unit 60 through the guide 110, movement of the wire 40 is restricted, and thus contact between the wire 40 and the fan 66, which may result in breakage of the wire 40, may be prevented.

The guide 110 may be arranged at an outer edge of the disc plate 73 of the suction grille 72 to guide the wire 40.

The guide 110 may include a first lateral surface guide 112 and second lateral surface guide 114 extending in the first direction W1 to guide the upper and lower sides of the wire 40, and a bent guide 116 extending from an end of one of the first lateral surface guide 112 and the second lateral surface guide in the second direction W2. The guide 110 may further include an inner lateral surface guide 118 arranged at the side of the air blower unit 60 to prevent the wire 40 from being introduced from the wire fixing portion 100 into the air blower unit 60.

The wire 40 may be guided in the first direction W1 by the first lateral surface guide 112 and the second lateral surface guide 114, which are spaced from each other with a first gap G therebetween, and may also be guided to be bent in the second direction W2 by the bent guide 116.

One of the first lateral surface guide 112 and the second lateral surface guide 114 of the guide 110 adjoins the bent guide 116, and the other one is provided with a guide hole 117 to allow the wire 40 to extend in the second direction W2.

The bent guide 116 is a constituent to obstruct extension of the wire 40 in the first direction W1 to bend the wire 40 guided in the first direction W2 by the first lateral surface guide 112 and the second lateral surface guide 114 in the second direction W2. In the illustrated embodiment, the bent guide 116 is arranged at the suction grille 72 in the second direction W2, which is the circumferential direction of the suction grille 72.

Through the bent guide 116 and the guide hole 117, the wire 40 may be disposed to be bent from the first direction W1 to the second direction W2, and after the direction of extension is changed to the second direction W2, the wire 30 may spirally extend to be connected to the motor 68. Accordingly, extension of the wire 40 toward the fan 66 may be prevented.

In other words, the wire 40 is arranged such that the direction of extension thereof may be changed to form a certain curvature. The extension directions may be divided into the direction toward the air blower unit 60, i.e., an inward direction I, and the opposite direction, i.e., an outward direction O with respect to the suction grille 72. In the case that the wire 40 is directly connected between the controller 20 arranged in the outward direction O and the motor 68 arranged in the inward direction I, bending of the wire 40 occurs only in the inward direction I and the outward direction O, and thus the wire 40 comes into contact with the fan 66. On the other hand, in the case that the guide 110 is provided to change the extension direction of the wire 40 to the second direction W2, the amount of bending of the wire 40 in the inward direction I and the outward direction O is reduced, and also the amount of bending of the wire 40 in the outward direction O is reduced by the fixing flange 120, which will be described later. Thereby, the wire 40 may be connected to the motor 68, without contacting the fan 66.

The inner lateral surface guide 118 is arranged on the inner lateral surface of the suction grille 72. Specifically, the inner lateral surface guide 118 is arranged at a portion of the wire fixing portion 100 on the inner lateral surface of the suction grille 72.

The inner lateral surface guide 118 is adapted to guide the wire 40 fixed to the wire fixing portion 100 such that the wire 40 is arranged only in the first direction W1 and the second direction W2, and not to the inner side of the grille 70, i.e., to the side of the air blower unit 60.

In other words, the wire 40 may be arranged in the first direction W1 by the inner lateral surface guide 118, the first lateral surface guide 112, and the second lateral surface guide 114, and may also be arranged in the second direction W2 by the inner lateral surface guide 118 and the bent guide 116. Through this configuration, the wire 40 may be arranged to be bent from the first direction W1 to the second direction W2 along the suction grille 72, without being inserted into the suction grille 72 from the wire fixing portion 100 provided at the suction grille 72.

The fixing flange 120, which is adapted to cover one open side of the guide 110, may be arranged at one of the first lateral surface guide 112 and the second lateral surface guide 114.

The fixing flange 120 is provided to prevent the wire 40 passing the guide 110 from escaping from the guide 110.

The fixing flange 120 may include a first extended portion 122 and the second extended portion 124.

The first extended portion 122 extends from one of the first lateral surface guide 112 and the second lateral surface guide 114 in the axial direction of the suction grille 72, and the second extended portion 124 extends from the first extended portion 122 at a right angle. Specifically, the first extended portion 122 extends outward from the suction grille 72.

The second extended portion 124 is formed to face the inner lateral surface guide 118 to guide the lateral surface of the wire 40. The end of the second extended portion 124 is spaced a first distance d from the end of one of the first lateral surface guide 112 and the second lateral surface guide 114 that is not provided with the fixing flange 120, and thereby an insert hole 125 is provided therebetween, allowing the lateral surface of the wire 40 to be inserted into the insert hole 125.

The insert hole 125 is formed in consideration of the diameter of the wire 40 to allow the wire 40 to be inserted into the wire fixing portion 100.

Hereinafter, arrangement of the wire of an air cleaner having the above constituents will be described.

To electrically connect the controller 20 arranged in the second space B with the motor 68 arranged in the first space A, the wire 40 is provided.

The wire 40 extends from the controller 20 in the second space B and passes through the wire hole 34 of the filter frame 32. In addition, the wire 40 may be guided to the suction grille 72 by the auxiliary guide 152 disposed between the suction grille 72 and the filter frame 32.

Since the wire hole 34 is arranged on the filter frame 32, the wire 40 may extend therethrough when the filter member 30 is seated at the filter frame 32.

The wire fixing portion 100 is arranged at the suction grille 72, and the wire 40 is inserted into the insert hole 125 between the fixing flange 120 and the guide 110.

The wire 40 inserted into the wire fixing portion 100 is surrounded by the inner lateral surface guide 118, the first lateral surface guide 112, the second lateral surface guide 114, the fixing flange 120, a portion thereof is disposed in the first direction W1 and is bent in the second direction by the inner lateral surface guide and the bent guide 116.

The wire 40 bent in the second direction W2 may extend to the outside of the wire fixing portion 100 through the guide hole provided to one of the first lateral surface guide 112 and the second lateral surface guide 114. Subsequently, the wire 40 may extend to the air blower unit 60 and be connected to a terminal of the motor 68, forming a spiral shape.

In this configuration, the motor 68 and the controller 20 may be electrically connected to each other by adjusting the degree of bending of the wire, without affecting the fan 66 of the air blower unit 60.

As is apparent from the above description, an air cleaner according to an embodiment may eliminate unnecessary extension of a wire by disposing the wire around a fan, thereby making better use of the inner space of the air cleaner.

In addition, exposure of the wire is minimized and thereby the air cleaner may have an elegant design.

Although a few embodiments have been shown and described, it would be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the disclosure, the scope of which is defined in the claims and their equivalents.
