Abstract: A vigorous and profusely flowering African violet known by the cultivar name Fairy Princess and having flowers which range in color from essentially solid purple to essentially entirely white and ranges of variegation therebetween, with the flowers being carried on erect peduncles to form a massive bouquet above the foliage.
Abstract: I disclose that my herein invention of a new variety of Digitaria Didactyla grass plant was discovered by me through my cross-pollinating selected varieties of Digitaria Didactyla grass plant then through asexual repropagation selected the new and distinct variety of Digitaria Didactyla which produces an excellent turfgrass of superior moderate bluish-green color as defined in the ISCC-NBS centroid color chart; the anthers of the new variety Digitaria Didactyla are dark purple as defined in the ISCC-NBS centroid color chart; the stigmas of the new variety of Digitaria Didactyla are strong reddish-purple as defined in the ISCC-NBS centroid color chart; the new variety of Digitaria is glabrous on the sheath and in between the internode and has a more open texture.
Abstract: In the exemplary disclosure, a signal transmitter and a signal processing part, which are interconnectable in the signal path by means of a contact plug, have a galvanically separative coupling location in the signal path with primary and secondary coupling members. The object is to design a plug-in connection that demonstrates a particularly good insulation effect. This is achieved in that of any given two inter-associated primary and secondary coupling members one of the two coupling members is disposed in the contact plug part on the side of the signal processing part and the other is disposed in the corresponding plug-in contact part of the signal transmitter so that upon establishment of the plug contact between the signal transmitter and the signal processing part the coupling members join together in spatial proximity as primary and secondary coupling members to form a coupling location.
Abstract: An individually fitted helmet liner includes a plurality of superposed contacting layers, each of which consists of a thermoplastic sheet formed with an array of pockets which are open and unfilled to allow their deformation in response to compressive contact with an adjacent layer. The liner is fitted to an individual wearer's head by heating the sheets to a plastic state, placing the liner between an outer shell and the wearer's head, and pressing down on the outer shell to deform the sheets to the proper extent.
Abstract: Herein is a disclosed a transparent safety visor which may be retrofitted to protective hardhat helmets. Such helmets typically consist of an inverted bowl defining a number of key receptor sites at intervals around its interior circumference, and a liner cap including a central crown and a number of struts radiating therefrom and terminating in keys adapted to be releasably locked to the receptor sites to maintain the liner cap and bowl in a fixed relationship. The visor is made of a flexible, transparent, generally rectangular plastic sheet, with at least a pair of slots in the sheet through which are inserted a corresponding number of liner cap keys prior to placement thereof in the receptor sites. The lower edge of the visor extends below the edge of the helmet to provide a gripping surface for user adjustment of the position of the visor, and the upper edge of the visor slides between the liner cap and the bowl when adjusted.
