Abstract: A floribunda rose variety having "salmon" bud and bloom color, petal and flower form similar to variety Mercedes, good resistance to rose powdery mildew, straight and stiff stems, and little or no fragrance.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of strawberry plant of the short-day type primarily charcterized as an early fruiter in both winter and summer plantings in south and central coastal California. Runner production in nursery plantings is considered excellent and exceeds `Tioga`. Flowers are self fertile with little malformed fruit which otherwise is long conic to long flat wedgy and usually solid. The variety has flavor comparable to the best flavored varieties used in California and fruit is much firmer than `Douglas` making the variety suitable for fresh and processing markets.

The variety performs well in both summer and winter plantings in south and central coastal California. Early fruit of the variety tends to be malformed similar to `Tufts` and ranges from long conic to long flat wedgy in shape; seldom hollow internally with flesh uniform in color. The variety is further characterized by its small and reflexed calyx borne on a distinct neck and by the extreme firmness and durability of its fruit which in size is as large as `Douglas`. Fruit flavor is comparable to most California varieties in current use and the variety is suitable for both fresh market and processing.

Abstract: A lumber conditioning kiln comprising an enclosure defining a closed chamber for receiving a stack of lumber so positioned as to provide space at the top and at the ends, a dehumidifier in said chamber containing an evaporator, said dehumidifier defining a flow path through the evaporator and a bypass passage around the evaporator, a blower for inducing air flow into the flow path of the dehumidifier for dehumidifying air and discharging dry air therefrom, fans for effecting a circulation of air within the chamber in a direction such that dry air from the dehumidifier is conducted across the top of the stack to the far end and from there reversely through the stack to the one end where the moisture-laden air from the stack is induced into the flow path of the dehumidifier and wherein there are dampers for reducing the air flow over the evaporator and increasing the air flow through the bypass.
Abstract: An electric switch having two pushbuttons for rocking a pivotal actuator alternately in opposite directions for alternately closing double-throw contacts. The pivotal actuator is snap-in assembled to a switch frame which is snap-in assembled to a switch base or housing that supports the contacts. The two pushbuttons are alike and are guided in their vertical reciprocal motion by the switch frame and by one another. To allow use of minimum height pushbuttons while having ample finger-engaging surface, the pushbuttons are provided with like but complementary guiding structures integrally molded thereon to guide one another in their relative vertically reciprocal movements without binding or "window-locking" with respect to one another or the switch frame.
