  • Patent number: 4744130
Abstract: With the device and method, ground meat is pumped through an elongated discharge tube into a plastic bag at the bottom of a frustoconical-shaped mold casing. The mold casing cooperates with a pneumatic or air inflatable elastic resilient piston that causes the meat being pumped through the discharge tube to be packed tightly down to a desired texture. As more meat is pumped into the bag and mold casing, the piston when inflated has a varying diameter and the mold casing moves axially downward with respect to the resilient piston to allow for more room for meat in the mold casing and bag until a point is reached where the discharge tube along with the inflated piston are forced out of the mold casing by downward movement of the mold casing.

  • Patent number: 4744131
Abstract: The invention concerns an apparatus which can be utilized for the quality inspection of fish fillets and enables the detection of faulty spots resulting from processing deficiencies, such as skin or fin remainders, blood spots, bones, as well as from parasites and others. To this end, fillets are guided to a light emitter by means of a conveyor belt which is made from a material which allows light to pass at low absorption. The light emitter comprises light sources which are arranged out of direct sight by means of screens. Due to its characteristic to allow light to pass by dispersion, the fillet will appear illuminated in darker surroundings.

  • Patent number: 4744166
Abstract: A firing mechanism with safety device for firearms, especially sport and hunting rifles and shotguns, with at least one barrel and a firing pin associated therewith and operable by way of a striker member in that the member is movable into an uncocked position, under the influence of the force of a compressed spring, against the firing pin after a trigger lever locking the striker member in a cocked position has been placed into a release position, and with at least one trigger with an associated rocker arm. In order to secure the firearm against unintended firing of shots due to external impact effects, the striker member is fashioned as a slide and is displaceable in the longitudinal direction from a rearward cocked position into a forward uncocked position.

  • Patent number: 4744168
Abstract: A multi-part artificial fish lure has a flexible worm that has been Texas-rigged on a hook, with the eye of the hook extending ahead of the worm. A flexible, resilient floating head has a central longitudinal hole through which the fishing line passes before being tied to the hook eye. The eye is much wider than the hole in the floating head; when the eye is forced into the hole, the inherent resilience of the material from which the head is made causes the inside surface of the hole to tightly grip the hook eye and thereby to hold the parts of the lure in their proper fish attracting relative positions and to prevent the parts from separating.

  • Patent number: 4744169
Abstract: A fishing lure comprises an elongate body of flexible plastics material having an internal sound producing device comprising at least one chamber of small dimensions containing a single ball. The relative dimensions of the ball and cavity are such that the ball is constrained against rattling against the walls of the cavity with movement of the lure and instead is guided to follow a rolling movement around the walls of the cavity, producing a sound frequency attractive to fish. The chamber is provided in a suitable lightweight plastics material capsule embedded in the lure body, and may be of circular dome or annular shape.

  • Patent number: 4744170
Abstract: An animal trap suited for trapping rodents comprising an elongated container having a curved bottom surface and a vertically translatable gate for selectively enclosing an opening in one end of the container after the animal has entered the trap. When set, the trap rests on one end of the bottom surface by gravity with the gate held elevated from the container to permit an animal to enter the trap. When the animal travels toward the opposite end of the container toward the bait remote from the opening, the weight of the animal causes the container to rotate elevating the open end of the container, releasing the gate thereby closing the opening to the container and trapping the animal therein. The gate remains closed by gravity acting downward thereon.

  • Patent number: 4744171
Abstract: A wire hanger assembly includes a hook member with at least three wire members depending therefrom, which wire members are specially designed for quick attachment to and release from a compatibly designed container. Each wire includes an enlarged protuberant end portion and the rim of the hanging container includes a plurality of substantially T-shaped slots therein. Each protuberance is inserted through the cross portion of one of the T-slots, and then the wire portion above the protuberance is slipped back to a position where the protuberance is seated in a cavity from which it cannot inadvertently slip.

  • Patent number: 4744173
Abstract: A movable flush window system, especially for a motor vehicle door comprises two stamped metal panels welded together so as to form a rebate at the periphery of the location of the window, on the sides other than that on which the window can be retracted between the panels. The window system further comprises two non-parallel panes, the spacing of which decreases from their base to their upper part, the windows being joined together near their periphery by means of a continuous spacer fixed to the two opposing faces and defining, with the contiguous outer portions of the panes, a U-shaped profile intended to cap the rebate in order to ensure the guidance and sealed closure of the window.

  • Patent number: 4744177
Abstract: A vibratory abrader having a grinding plate which is supported at the housing by way of elastic elements, with the abrading plate being put into an orbital movement by way of a ball bearing attached to an eccentric drive member which is equipped with a compensating weight and can be caused to rotate by the armature shaft of the drive motor. To be able to make such a vibratory grinder usable for rough as well as fine abrader work by simply changing the eccentric stroke of the abrading plate, the eccentric drive member is driven by means of an eccentric pin which is likewise mounted eccentrically with respect to the axis of the armature shaft and the armature shaft is pivotal relative to the eccentric drive member and its compensating weight, with the angle of rotation between the armature shaft and the eccentric drive member in both directions being limited to 180.degree.
